Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this absolutely sublime mid-18. Century circa 1760 solid Yew & Oak Windsor stick back armchair. If you are looking at this listing then the chances are you know what this chair is, how rare the timber is and how collectable. It is! I have never seen another this early with this colour, it truly is a work of art. The lines and form are sublime, the seat exceptionally comfortable, I can see why this has survived so long, anything this aesthetically appealing that’s extremely comfortable to live with would be well looked after. We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, it looks to be all original timber without breakages. Height:- 101.5cm. Seat height:- 39.5cm. Very Rare Welsh Early 19th Century Antique Lip-Work Armchair. This rare Welsh antique armchair is such a rare survivor, known as a Lip-Work chair, which is the technique of coiled wheat straw basketry which is bound together by canes of bramble and strips of holly bark with a wooden structure underneath. The original lining is period oil cloth, very similar to the fabric which was used to line Welsh coracle boats. This rare Welsh antique Lip Work armchair is a good full size and is in amazingly intact and strong condition. This model is almost identical to one shown in the Victor Chinnery Oak Furniture book. A rare early 19th century antique Lip Work straw chair that is in incredible condition. Height: 133cm (52.78″) Width: 75cm (29.76″) Depth: 88cm (34.92).

We are Rewind Interiors based in Bourne Lincolnshire PE10. A one-off chance in a lifetime to own some pure British History. 1x An Early Victorian Oak and Leather Library armchair by Holland & Sons Ex Whitehall chair. Its stamped Holland & Sons and VR made by Holland and Sons. Royal warrant holders rare early chair seldom seen outside Museums and Stately Homes. The size is 86cm high back 61cm wide at arms 72.5cm hight of arms. 62cm depth 48cm seat height the chair it got brass castor wheels. Scrolled armrests curved and dished tablet top rail on baluster tapering front legs. And square splayed back legs terminating in brass cappings and castors. The chair has the Holland & Sons stamp also a Journeyman stamp of L. And the later FCO ex-security alarm label fixed to the underside of the frame. Condition: has old rubs to the legs from age and use being as it’s from 1840s age. The seats have been reupholstered in black real leather in the past. And great condition real amazing rare designer antique chair. That were ex Whitehall Foreign & Commonwealth Office FCO pieces. The building that the chair came from. Then became the Foreign office which later became then Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This chair is a once in a lifetime chance to own a piece of Great British History.
