Art Deco Glass, Bohemian Glass. I’m so pleased to have this wonderful rare jar to share with you, commonly known as “bon bon jar” this is an early 20th century glass at it’s best. Made by well known Adolf Beckert born in Bohemia. A transparent hexagonal glass jar with raised yellow flashed base. Jar has wonderful black enameled decoration of 21 silhouettes including dog and a monkey. Lid with black enameled decorative pattern, gilded edges and raised yellow flashed finial. The photos don’t show the true beauty of this glass, it is a stunning rare pice of art that has survived all this years in magnificent condition. Approx: 11cm in diameter, 16cm in height including lid. Jar is in good original condition with light hair line scratches no cracks or chips. One minuscule chip to one of the silhouettes. Please note that this is an antique item and have lived a life before you receive it any minor flaws are part of their heritage, character & charm.
“Flip Your Ahes On Old Nasty”. The Violation of “Poland”. What a great little potty! A comical chamber pot as an ashtray. It’s only 2 inches across. Miniature chamber pots,’Potty’ or’Po’ were manufactured in white china with transfer printed wording around the side’ CHUMS, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Inside there is a transfer printed image of Adolf Hitler and wording’HITLER IN POLAND’. Crown Devon Fieldings, Jerry Kamer produced quickly and in a short time, the miniature anti-Nazi’chamber pot’ in the four months between September and early December 1939. In December 1939, restrictions began to arise that the product was excessive and inappropriate, even though it was directed against Nazi Germany. And he was forced to stop production, hence the rarity of chamber pot. Please see the photos and feel free to ask any questions. What more can i say? Except mine has different wording and has colour. But it does have the Fieldings mark on the bottom. It is in really exceptional condition for such a rare item. It has a few minor chips to the bottom, fitting with it’s age. But the colours are still rich and the writing clear. I doubt this was ever used. They had a limited run and were not hugely distributed. Thanks for looking and i’m always open to reasonable offers. Rare Adolf Knoch sewing machine from the early 1900s. Beautiful machine with mother of pearl inlay. Some of the decal and inlay has worn but for a machine which is well over 100 years old it is still very appealing. There is also a bit of veneer missing from the beautiful inlaid wooden base. Overall the machine is in very good condition. It comes with shuttle and a few bobbins and is still in it’s beautiful original case. Nothing has been done to the machine. No cleaning, oiling or waxing or anything else. It was left as found. It can be turned into a true beauty. The machine is in complete , original untouched and unrestored condition. Although this machine turns very well and seems to be working fine I do not guarantee this machine in anyway. I recently had a lot of problems with someone that bought a sewing machine over 100 years old which was in perfect condition but she couldn’t get the tension right. I cannot be held responsible for these kind of issues. The machine only had a small surface clean but nothing else has been done to it. It was further left as found. Check out my other items.
