Redware Jar Crock Early and RARE New England Pottery. For your consideration is a very early American redware vessel. Redware storage jar or crock. Nice dark brown color, thick and heavy, glazed inside, unglazed outside. Hand thrown with very fine proportions. A majestic early Americana piece. Circa 18th century, found in Massachusetts. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE FOR MORE PHOTOS! 10″ tall, 9″ top diameter, 6.75 base diameter. Weighs about 10 + lbs. Condition: Very Good overall. Hand thrown with all the expected irregularities in the process of turning and firing it. Please see photos below.
