Der Dirigent aus der “galanten Kapelle” ist NICHT Bestandteil des Angebots! Er dient lediglich dazu, die enorme Größe zu veranschaulichen! Hersteller: original Meissen / blaue Schwertermarke unterglasur. 10 x 26 x 26 cm. Alter / Herstellung: Knaufzeit – siehe Schwertermarke / Bilder. Zustand: diverse Bestossungen / Altrestaurationen – Brandriss auf der Sockelunterseite. Fazit: Ein außergewöhnlich großer, aufwendiger und beeindruckender Tafelaufsatz. Ein echter Blickfang, mit herrlichem Gesamteindruck und Farbenpracht in gutem Zustand. Bitte beachten Sie, dass es sich bei diesem Stück um einen sehr alten, gebrauchten, seltenen und beliebten Gegenstand handelt, der üblicherweise Gebrauchsspuren aufweist (wenn er nicht restauriert wurde). Wir vertreten als Sammler die Grundauffassung, dass insbesondere alte, sehr seltene und aufwendige Stücke unrestauriert sein sollten so wie sie in den Museen meist präsentiert werden! Und einen besonderen, sehr schönen Gesamteindruck hinterlassen sollten. Herstellungsbedingte Brandrisse sind insbesondere bei sehr großen Objekten eher die Regel statt der Ausnahme. Die Spannung (der großen Masse) entlädt sich beim Brennen im Riss und ist endgültig, er verändert sich nicht mehr (der Haarriss hingegen wandert in der Regel). In my opinion, these are manufactured in China in the late 1720s/early 1730s, copying the 1720s’chinoiserie’ style by C. Herold and the famous underglaze Augustus Rex monogram.

Add threetreefrogs to favourites. EXCEPTIONALLY FINE AND RARE EARLY MEISSEN LIDDED SAUCE TUREEN. Presenting a magnificent 18th Century soft paste porcelain tureen and cover naturalistically modelled into the of a nesting dove / pigeon. This exceptional example was produced by the quality German makers, Meissen, circa mid to late 1700s. The beautifully modelled dove is seated upon a basket moulded base with applied shredded clay foliage trimming the top of the nest. This piece is wonderfully finished in naturalistic glazes. SIZE: This impressive piece stands approx 120mms tall, measures 195mms in length and 78mms in width. CONDITION: This piece is presented in very good antique condition with some exceptionally minor losses to the shredded clay foliage noticeable only on extremely close examination but mentioned for complete accuracy. There appears to be a minor old repair to one side of the birds tail which has been professionally done and incredibly hard to spot. We had to take a magnifyer to the piece and even then it was hard to detect. There is a minuscule fleabite sized nibble to the top of the crest upon the birds head and the tiniest rough spot to the tip of the birds beak. There is some internal staining which we have not attempted to bleach out or remove in any way and should be able to be lessened in the new owners preferred manner. Light overall surface crazing mentioned for accuracy. This authentic antique example has survived exceptionally well and presents spectacularly. MARKS: The unglazed base is beautifully marked with Meissen’s brushed blue crossed swords. Early Meissen examples such as this fine figural tureen are highly desirable and feature in top Museum collections. This stunning piece would make an outstanding addition to any early Meissen, quality antique porcelain or figural tureen collection! Shop Pottery & Ceramics. Two Rare Early 19th Century Meissen Porcelain Basket Weave Rim Botanical Plates C. Hand painted plates with three satellite flowers painted in color enamels. Under-glaze crossed swords to bases. Measurements approximately diameter 23cm (9). Condition is antique items, one plate has a chip as seen in my photographs, please see photograph number 11. The other plate is in excellent condition, no faults found.

Two Rare Early 19th Century Meissen Porcelain Basket Weave Rim Botanical Plates C. Hand painted plates with three satellite flowers painted in color enamels. Under-glaze crossed swords to bases. Measurements approximately diameter 23cm (9). Condition is antique items, one plate has a chip as seen in my photographs, please see photograph number 11. The other plate is in excellent condition, no faults found.
