1713 New Testament printed in London by John Baskett. Very rare early printing by John Baskett not mentioned in the Herbert Catalog! The first John Baskett printing was a New Testament in 1712. I’ve seen a copy of that printing bound into a complete Bible before, but this is the first time I’ve seen a standalone 1713 New Testament. Measures about 7.25″ x 4.75″ and a little less than 1 thick. Binding has a bit of a lean to it, spine a little worn with top and bottom chipped, but solid and attractive! This is one of those rare printings that very rarely come up for sale, much less in this good of condition! This is definitely a necessary addition to any Baskett Bible collection! Please review pictures for a better idea of the condition. Check out my other book and Bible listings! I may have more like this one that you would be interested in!
This is a very hefty and impressive pair of 19th century gilt bronze cattails from an estate. These must originally have been part of something larger, and they are in very good condition with a fabulous patina. These massive beauties measure 16 long and weigh over 3 pounds each. Wonderful sculptural detail, very lifelike, very old.

Beautiful example of an old mug. Research indicates that this is mostly an early Masons or Staffordshire mug. There appears to have perhaps been a circular type stamp but this is difficult to determine. C is marked on the base. There is wear to the gilt for this piece and some wear/scratches including around the inside of the mug (see photos) there is wear to all examples of this early piece found online and so this is to be expected. Blue and gilt gold floral/foliage pattern. Early piece Circa 18-19th. 10cm diameter of base. 11cm diameter of rim. 16cm rim-end of mug handle.

ANTIQUE RARE MILITARY BELT BUCKLE WITH LION GILT BRASS BUCKLE – EARLY MILITARY. Very interesting and scarce antique belt buckle – the belt seems to be standard British army belt that was first used in the 19th century, bullion thread onto red leather with compartments to the inside. The buckle itself is frustratingly difficult to pin down to a country or regiment, the metal has been gilt and not machined like the ww2 era buckles which leads me to suspect it’s earlier. Adorned with acorns by belt loops – reminds me of the German buckles but of course no lions although the ottoman lion with German acorns may represent the ww1 alliance? Perhaps an ottoman regiment? It’s a bit of an enigma, although the quality and age speaks for itself! This item is in the category “Collectables\Badges & Patches\Collectable Badges\Military Badges”.
