France, early 1900’s, made of bronze. Height (without chain) : 11 1/4″ , total height : 22″. Good overall condition, solid bronze, rare piece : I never had one of that shape for sale, with carvings on glass, old (ceramic socket). My name is Greg, I’m a French guy who had business in Charlotte NC for 3 years. Unfortunately, I had to move back to France because of a slow activity. I fell in love with the US, particulary Charlotte! So now my only goal is to return to Charlotte, and for that I want to export French furnitures and antiques there! This idea came because of my love for wood and history. It is a great area to find valuable furnitures and smalls because of the proximity of wealthy ski resorts like Megève and Chamonix Mont-Blanc. It is also close to Geneva (switzerland), about 45minutes by car. The Geneva area is one of the richest in Europe due to finance and whatchmaking. Italy’s not to far as well, 40 minutes. So when you’re living and picking in this kind of environment, It is not rare to come across real pieces of art and history. Rare, beautiful, early Indian silvered bronze Bale Krishna, 14 century Vijaya nagar period. Here is a small, but exquisite, silvered bronze, Bale Krishna. This bronze is a fine example of the direct connection and influence between the Chola Dynasty, mostly in south India, and the later, more central Indian, Vijayanagar Empire. The amount of detail, movement and expression packed into a rather small bronze, is quite amazing. There are very limited examples of silvered or gilded bronzes from India of this period. The Krishna is in a perfect condition. No dents or losses to the bronze. There are two minor casting errors to the lower part of the base. Weight 186 gr = 0 lb 6.6 oz. 4 cm = 1.6 inch. Height 9 cm = 3.5 inch. The item “Rare, beautiful, early Indian silvered bronze Bale Krishna, 14 century” is in sale since Friday, April 12, 2019. Final reduction before I decide to keep the item. The item will end in the next couple of days. A rare, early and genuine Bergmann Vienna Austrian cold painted bronze. Arab girl with stone pot, Urn, Ewer stamped with the Bergmann mark and model number 2897. This is an early piece produced c1900. The Roman numeral mark VIIII may indicate a production date of 1909. Stunning detail and casting quality which hopefully you can see in the detailed images. I have not seen another example of this rare version with the stone pot which really does make this a substantial piece. The detail and realism of the pot, wooden frame and rope is extremely. Approximate dimensions & weight. The item will be very well packaged.
