Antique Bully Good Native American Indian Squaw Papoose Composition Doll. VERY RARE Left Glancing Left Looking. Most Skookum dolls were made so they look to the right. Some look to the left but are quite rare and hard to find. Label on bottom of foot – The key to dating this doll is the paper label on the bottom of the suede covered pine wooden foot. The label displays a fylfot or twirling log, a Native American good luck symbol, today commonly referred to as a swastika. The company used this label during the 1920s. Suede Moccasins – An additional method of determining the production date of the dolls is by studying the footwear. The earliest dolls from around 1913 had mocasins made of leather. By 1918, the mocassins were simulated with suede applied to wood, and painted designs. By 1924, they were molded of composition material. This doll was made between 1918 and 1924. Early French Market Gebruder Kuhnlenz Doll 15 1/2 Rare Mold #28 Closed Mouth

This early antique Gebruder Kuhnlenz doll is a simply GORGEOUS and even more so in person! Her beautiful bisque is an even creamy pale color with only light kiln “beauty marks” as shown in the close up. No cracks, hairlines or chips! She is an exceedingly rare Mold #28, with big beautiful set brown eyes and closed mouth made for the French market. When I acquired her she was very dirty on a leather kid body which had deteriorated beyond repair from dry rot. I put her on a nice sturdy antique composition body with a new human hair French wig (with her original ribbon taken from what was left of her blond HH wig), and was able to salvage her double plaster pate (numbered “65”). She comes in a newer slip and pantaloons, beautiful vintage dress, bead necklace (shown in the second picture), earrings, vintage socks and leather boots handmade in the Ukraine. I will include provenance on the doll including the name of her original owner! She is truly a treasure! If any questions, please ask. Rare turned head Kestner early letter series antique doll

Angie: This is a rare early 18 inch Kestner with the mark J or F on the perfect head, a turned head. The sleep eyes work beautifully and are brown, pink lids are so sweet; the shoulder head is in perfect shape with no chips cracks or rubs on the doll. She is named Angie on the tag is from 1880’s but most likely made in the late 1890’s with a lovely original good condition kid leather body that has working joints with no leaks, the doll is fully dressed in four layers of fine lace, batiste, and silk. She has on hand made leather kid boots and possesses tiny buttons 4 of them. The sweet doll has silk stockings and a lace bonnet which is enchanting. The underdress is all hand made as is the silk afternoon walking coat dress. A perfect doll for the discriminating doll collector. I love the style of the dress too, with the piping running down each side and all the lace, such perfection. Antique 12 Rare All Bisque Kestner Character Baby Doll Early Mark 7

Rare sweet 12 all bisque Kestner character baby doll with glass eyes and marked only 7 on the lower bottom of solid dome head. Baby could be boy or girl baby. The bisque head is in nice condition, blue glass set eyes and an open closed mouth with painted tongue. The baby has a rub at the neck and has a small blemish to the right cheek. Kestner baby is dressed in antique cotton diaper, old slip and sweet antique cotton Baptismal gown and lace bonnet with ribbons. The all bisque body is so detailed with the blushed joints and fat bulges on her body, arms and legs. The bisque torso has no damage, the right arm has no damage, the left arm does have fingers chipped and her bent elbow was repaired, hard to see. Her right leg has no chips or cracks, her left leg has had her inner joint repaired with cork to string her. Both bisque feet have rubs to the bisque. She has some flaws but is so rare to have an 12 early all bisque Kestner baby with glass eyes! Please let me know if you need more photos. Very Rare Early Antique German Papier-mache doll, so-called Desiree Clary, c. Rare wonderful papier-mache doll, so-called “Desiree Clary”, has a breast plate made of papier-mache, deep angular-shaped breast plate, nice modelled features, detailed painted, blue painted eyes, slightly smiling red mouth, good modelled detached ears, black painted strongly modelled hair in Desiree Clary style : on forehead always 4 curls up to the the ears, multi-row brushstroke, short middle parting, high hairstyle made of 9 small plaits held together with a plaited hairband, high hairstyle, like a high comb, curved brushstrokes surround the face, bulging stuffed hand-sewed immovable body made of white kid leather, forearms and hands with single stick-out thumb made of carved wood, lower leg and feet are made of carved wood. Good condition to age, beautiful original clothes (the silk is fragile because age). 17 in (44 cm) tall. Antique Early 1900s German Bisque Doll by Schoenau & Hoffmeister on Candy Box. This is a wonderful and rare German candy container bisque doll in original clothing. She has lovely blond hair, an open mouth, and beautiful blue eyes. Thought to be dated between 1900 and 1905. Some of the paint on legs and hands has faded and the clothes have period appropriate wear and tear as well as some discoloring. She has a small stain near her chin and a couple of very light marks on her face that are barely visible. Early 7 Milliner’s Model Doll With Rare Head In All Original Presentation

” price a BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE 7″ MILLINER’S MODEL DOLL WITH RARE HEAD! A SUPERB EXAMPLE of her type, this wonderful early doll with a PAPER MACHE head in a hard to find mold is a lovely model with distinctive appeal; you will love her ORIGINAL PRESENTATION! A suitable diminutive size for a larger scale DOLLHOUSE or ROOM BOX vignette, we can envision creating an 1840’s parlor or kitchen scene around this fabulous early doll, as she wears a two piece ensemble consisting of a tunic style blouse of a eggplant purple silk moire fabric with black velvet collar, and contrasting long black silk skirt, both appearing original to her! Please note that the purple sheen on the fabric is more aged in front where the material was most likely exposed to light than the back of her top which is a little brighter in color. The doll herself has a beautiful early hand painted PAPER MACHE face and shoulder plate with black sculpted hair, and painted features including greenish-blue eyes, dramatic black arched eyebrows, subtly blushed cheeks and dainty red lips. There is age related wear to the paint on her hair and areas on her face including her nose, but the paint is original to her and did not want to compromise her charming originality by having her features modified in any way! Her MILLINERS MODEL type body consists of a leather torso with beautifully sculpted WOODEN arms and hands with delicately carved fingers, and carved wooden lower limbs with red painted tops and purple boots. Please note that there is a professional touch-up to the painting on her boots and reinforcement to the leather on her body and have shown a picture of her legs depicting an example of the professional work that was done. In our opinion, the minor restoration work done to her and age related paint wear do not detract from her overall CHARMING PRESENTATION, considering the fact she is about 175 years old!
