Rare Antique Art Deco 1920s Czech Epiag 24ct Gold Plated & Handcrafted Teapot

Rare Antique Art Deco (1920s) Czechoslovakian “Epiag” 24ct Gold Plated & Hand Painted Teapot In Perfect Condition. Very generously and meticulously gold gilded by a master craftsman of the highest order. This teapot is still as new and has never been used. It has only ever been used as an ornamental cabinet item. Needs to be seen to be fully appreciated as the photographs really do not do it justice. The gold plating is 100% intact. Please browse all 12 sets of photographs for size, weight and condition as they are self explanatory. Please have a look at the last photographs and if you require additional pictures please ask. The back stamp was used from the 1920s onwards, stating Script’EPIAG’ and’CZECHOSLOVAKIA’. Each company had their own variation of the mark although most of these items were made in’CARLSBAD’ area of CZECHOSLOVAKIA. There is a good reason for the “OEPIAG” and “EPIAG” marks. Both OEPIAG and EPIAG were associations of different potteries put together by the Austrian Government in 1918 to promote the sale of Bohemian pottery and porcelain. The name “OEPIAG” is an acronym for “Österreichische Porzellan Industrie AG, ” which translates to Austrian Porcelain Industry. Any pottery with this mark generally predates 1920, when the name was changed Erste Böhemische Porzellan Industrie AG-First Bohemian Porcelain Industry-and the mark was switched to EPIAG. Carlsbad or Karlsbad is a mark used on china made by several factories in Germany, Austria, and Bavaria. Many pieces were exported to the United States. Many of the pieces are biscuit jars, bowls, plates, and platters from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Carlsbad is a city in Czechoslovakia, home to the factories that made the exported porcelain. Most of the pieces available today were made after 1891. Czechoslovakia is a popular term with collectors. The name, first used as a mark after the country was formed in 1918, appears on glass and porcelain, and other decorative items. Porcelain made in Czechoslovakia was exported to Europe, North and South America, and Australia. Although Czechoslovakia split into Slovakia and the Czech Republic on January 1, 1993, the name continues to be used in some trademarks. Rare KPM Berlin Porcelain Art Deco Couple Kiss Figurine Figure Porzellan Figur. This product data sheet is originally written in English. A very rare figurine very much in the Art Deco style of the period made by KPM during the Art Deco era. It is of a couple embraced in a passionate kiss standing with a baby in between them on top of a column on a rectangular base. Left in the white it makes quite the impression! One rarely sees pieces in this style by them. The figure is 13.25 inches tall with the base being 3 inches wide by 3.5 inches deep. The figurine is marked underneath with their under glaze blue scepter mark as well as various impressed numbers, etc. The artist name G. Wied is impressed into the base in the back as shown. The piece is in superb condition with a black kiln dust spot to the back and two firing cracks in the base inside which do not affect the piece at all! RARE Fine Antique 1920’s French Art Deco Huge ELEPHANT. Original “emerald green” patina. Very large “French Decorative Art” dial of 22 centimeters (8.7 inches), its mechanical movement reconditioned by the watchmaker and replaced by a battery-powered movement, resulting in a clear precision of the time. The Elephant with the trunk in the air, which is a lucky symbol. The dimensions of the Elephant are: Height 26 cms (10.3 inches). And its Length: 24 cms (9.5 inches). Very Rare Antique Art Deco Jadeite Green Uranium Opaline Glass Large Pitcher Jug. This wonderful large pitcher jug is a fabulous example of Antique Jadeite Opaline glassware. Created in the early 20th Century in UV Sensitive Uranium Glass it is a fantastic rarity. These Jade coloured opaque pieces made in Britain by the Stourbridge makers and in France by the likes of Baccarat rose to popularity in the art deco period and are still highly sought today. This particular piece is a striking example with its unique shape and footed base, large exaggerated applied handle and of course its delightful colour and reactive glow. A spectacular addition to any collection or display. 18.5cm tall, 17.5cm in length and 12.5cm wide at widest point. Base is just over 9.5cm wide and across rim is 12cm in diameter. Condition is’Used’ – Good overall antique condition with some wear commensurate with age such as a couple of scratches that are dark in appearance mainly on the base but a couple of spots to surface in places. Rare Art Deco POOLE POTTERY Vase Carter Stabler & Adams CSA Shape No 966 White. This is a decorative piece for a period or contemporary interior. This is a fabulous piece of POOLE STUDIO POTTERY from the ART DECO Period, they are sometimes known as Freeform vases. This comes in the sought after shape 966 from the Carter Stabler and Adams period. I have never seen this colour way before. It is a cream or milky white colour and the turning marks from being on the potters wheel can be seen and felt on the inside of this stunning vase. The base is impressed with POOLE ENGLAND in a rectangular mark and the numbers 966. This is in MINT condition with no chips, cracks or restoration and it stands 10 inches tall.
