This is a very rare, French chinoiserie early 19th century mirror with original glass. Bevelled and slightly foxed. The fact its silver gilt makes it a very rare mirror. You wont find another like it! Came from a chateau in Bordeaux, then ended up in a loft apartment in Paris. I bought quite a few from the same place. See my other listings for matching pieces. Very Rare early 1800’s Carpenter & Co. Curry Horse comb # 1286 patent #? Made by the English firm of (James) Carpenter & Co. Of Willenhall England sometime prior to 1844. This is a hefty well made curry comb which has the Maker’s name and No. 1286 on the small heart shaped plate as well as another makers name plate on the handle. This comb was a forerunner to many American made combs of the 19th century. At the time, combs such as this were not cheaply made by the Brits for the masses but rather for the wealthy class hence the attractive, fancy handle. See “Condition Description” above for more details on it’s overall actual condition. Even with the the light dirt and rust color on brush side its in remarkable original condition for its age. RARE SIZE & PATTERN Early 1800s Pennsylvania Redware Slipware Plate 6 3/4 NM

Early 1800’s Pennsylvania Redware slipware plate. This is a rare size and measures only 6 3/4 in diameter. Beautiful pumpkin color with vibrant yellow slip. The yellow slip decoration is in a very rare three line swirl design. Very finely done uniform coggling around the rim. The plate has a few very fine scratches, and crazing consistent with age. There is one very small area of glaze loss in the center of the plate. No chips, hairlines, or repairs. Guaranteed to be a very rare and early plate. I collected slipware for almost 40 years and had an extensive collection of plates. This is the best of the best. Offered at a fraction of what I paid, and a fraction if its current value. This and one other spectacular plate that I have yet to list are the gems of my collection. THE CONFEDERATE SURGEONS HAD TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN. ALMOST ALL OF THE SETS WERE PRE-WAR AND FROM ENGLAND AND EUROPE. Rare early 1800s wool & glass bead tapestry / needlepoint art two lovers

For interesting glass , pottery , oil paintings , lamps , dolls and more…. This one is something i really hate to part with……. I have owned this tapestry for about 30 years……. But you simply cannot keep everything…….. The tapestry is all hand woven…… It is amazing and museum quality… 2 lovers in an embrace….. Parts of the entire painting have has glass beads woven into the tapestry tohighlight certain parts of the clothing…… In her hair and in his garment sleeve…. Also the ladys bracelets….. There is a mountain and trees in the background……. The art itself measures 17 1/2 inches across…… I do not know how much of the tapestry might be hidden under the frame….. Perhaps a bit more…. I have never taken it apart…… The colors are bright and stunning….. This was never exposed to much sunlight….. The frame itself is also stunning and early , but i do not know if it dates as old as the tapestry or not…… I think it pre civil war now……….. If someone can help me be more accurate…. I would surely be grateful to add their information to my description here…… I do not know why the numbers (71) appear stuck on the frame….. But i have never removed them…… The grapes are in relief in all four corners….. The grapes and vines are highlighted in gold gilding……… There is some gesso loss as the pictures show…… Again , it never bothered me to leave it as i found it so many years ago……. There is an old cloth back on the frame….. It sticks out past the wood…. Making the entire painting / tapestry some… 2 3/4 inches thick……. The wood measures 24 inches square…… Original finish on all of the wood…… I have always thought this was museum quality…… And i think it is flemish made…… It is a stunning piece of textile art……. I should mention that there is a picture of a spot in the blue sky…… To the left of the mans head… That has separated some……. There is at least one picture showing it…… I think it is insignificant , but i mention it for accuracy……. I hope someone will like this classic piece of art as much as i do….. Thank you for taking the time to search out this listing…….. My family appreciates how hard it is becoming to find anything on this site. Nancy or jon have taken a picture of the most interesting parts on each item….. My mom is often seen in the gallery photos showing the size of the item we have listed…… Usually the post office and sometimes ups…….. Since we send our things world-wide , it simply depends on where you live…… A toy or a tool…. Something for the bathroom , or a children’s book , whatever….. But all items will STILL BE insured by us , as we will pay for it on our end……. And again , all packing materials , wrapping tissue , paper , bubble wrap and boxes are free……. We re-cycle almost everything anyway and my brother Jon gets about 98% or 99% of his packages delivered to the customer in perfect condition……… ” having said that , UPS once broke our cast iron kitchen skillet “…….
