Rare Early Minton Large Tureen with Lid Antique 1864 Cameo Design Tableware

Scarce Early Minton Large Tureen with Lid Antique 1864 – Cameo -Diamond Reg Mark. A very rare piece by Minton. The Cameo pattern decorates the border. This item has been with the same family for 80-100 years. It was part of a 12 piece dinner set originally. Now however, this tureen, lid and oval platter (separate listing) are the only items left. In very good condition. The addition of the diamond registration mark dates the set registration as 12th September 1864. This however does not mean it was the date the item was produced, this could have been produced much earlier. Impressed with Minton over the Backstamp. There is a further mark of C515 and a hand painted’m’ to underside base near edge. There are some areas of age, see photos, of pitted marks. No chips or significant cracks as far as I can see, but please be aware of its age, use and fragility. This is for decoration/display or collectors piece only. Not suitable for food use. This is a delightful item in the antique world of English pottery. Measures approximately 25cm length x 20cm width x 16cm height.
