A vintage wristwatch “Amphibian” that was produced at the Russian plant “Vostok” approximately in the 1960s. It was one of the earliest batch of “Amphibian” watches. Vintage retro watch, about 60 years old. Special removable “ears” (lugs), that’s why such watches are called “Eared Amphibian”. Stainless steel case. Diver water resistance case (200m). Designed for diving, swimming, scuba diving, surfing on the waves in both salt and fresh water (wasn’t tested); t. He crown should be unscrewed for winding. New zulu strap. The name of the watches was chosen in honor to the amphibian – a creature that feels comfortable both in water and on land. By order of the Navy of the USSR, the “Vostok” plant began to produce the military modification of the “Amphibian” watch, that was successfully tested during the naval exercises in the North Sea. In 1975 the watch was even used when flying into space. For its age (about 60 years old) the watch is in good condition, runs well and keeps time accurately. The mechanism was serviced by a professional watch master. The luminous dial is well-highlighted. The bezel is scratched and scuffed, doesn’t rotate. All parts were removed, cleaned, new unbreakable mainspring, and the watch was adjusted to keep good time. Movement : This watch runs great and keeps good time. The beautiful key wind movement is in good condition. It has 15 jewels and all matching serial numbers! Dial : The Waltham dial is in good condition but it is not the original. Case : The gold filled case is in very good condition. The covers open and close as they should. The case looks amazing. This is not the original case.
