Mark from Francois Borgel, another mark which is not visible, xxNILA WATCH SWISS MADE, the serial number 33994, 925 from 92.5 silver purity, the London mark,’a’ from the year 1916 and a 6. Diameter: 40 mm (including crown), 34 mm (excluding crown). The wristwatch is working. It has an early Borgel case, where the mechanism is screwed. The dial has red paint at 12 hour, typically for military watches. The dial has some small cracks/scratches and small chips. The case shows some signs of wear such as scratches, as you can see from the pictures. The crown has three position, one for winding, one to set up the time and one to unscrew the mechanism. I didn’t check to see how well it is keeping time, if you are interested, let me know and I can check during 24 hours. It is a rare military wristwatch, an antique piece. VOSTOK Russian Vintage Mechanical Watch. A vintage wristwatch “Amphibian” that was produced at the Russian plant “Vostok” approximately in the 1960s. It was one of the earliest batch of “Amphibian” watches. Vintage retro watch, about 60 years old. Special removable “ears” (lugs), that’s why such watches are called “Eared Amphibian”. Hermetic stainless steel case. Diver water resistance case (200m) designed for diving, swimming, scuba diving, surfing on the waves in both salt and fresh water (wasn’t tested); the crown should be unscrewed for winding. Luminous dial and hands. New zulu strap. 18 jewels Soviet mechanism (there’s the inscription “Made in the USSR” at the bottom of the dial; all the inscriptions are in English so the watch might be done for export). Serviced by a professional master. “Vostok” (translated as “East”) produces military and diver mechanical/automatic watches in Chistopol, Tatarstan, Russia. The name of the watches was chosen in honor to the amphibian – a creature that feels comfortable both in water and on land. By order of the Navy of the USSR, the “Vostok” plant began to produce the military modification of the “Amphibian” watch, that was successfully tested during the naval exercises in the North Sea. In 1975 the watch was even used when flying into space. Case Size with crown: 42.2mm. Case Size without crown: 40 mm. Wristband size: 16 mm. For its age (about 50 years old) the watch is in excellent condition: watch bought from a private collection, runs well and keeps time accurately (the mechanism was serviced by a professional watch master). The luminous dial is very good condition. The case, its backside and the crown are looks great. There’re minor specks of dust under the glass. Mineral glass has minor scratches. The watch goes with a new strap. Look at all photos for more accurate description! You’ll get exactly what you see! Does not happen problems that can not be solved. Watch-alteration (mechanism from pocket closed gold watches of the beginning of the 20th century, and the case is made on Lenremchas in the 1920s-30s). The case is chrome-plated metal. The case diameter is 49mm. The dial is enamel. The clock, when the mechanism is fully wound, looks a little like it and stops.
