Antique Gliderole Roller Sled Early 1900’s VERY RARE! Great Graphics

Extremely rare, collectible Gliderole roller sled on 4 wheels. In fact, it had no graphics left at all! Red paint on this one is still bright and looks quite good under the grime. We did not try to clean it up for fear of harming the finish, so we will leave that to you if you want to remove any of the accumulation. Wood has a beautiful glowing patina. Everything is solid and the graphics are AMAZING! The front wheels have replacement rubber on them for looks but I doubt that they would hold up to much riding… Not that you would want to risk riding and crashing such a rare piece! You can easily see the joined part of the rubber… The brake works and the steering is nice and tight. Hubcaps are all nice except 1 has some corrosion/paint loss to the paint… See comparison in 2nd from last and 3rd from last photos. Measures approximately 32″ long by 21″ wide by 7 high. Has a vintage cotton cord attached. The cord is discolored. Just a great, very rare, piece of American toy history! If someone else snags it, you will probably never see another! VOLLAND – RAGGEDY ANN AND ANDY DOLLS, CIRCA 1920 – 1926 (VERY RARE). Wonderful and so Very Hard to find! Here we have both Raggedy Ann and her Brother Raggedy Andy. Both are very early versions, produced by the P. They are in exceptional condition, both with whimsical smiles. Striped red and white sock legs. And wearing their original clothes. Raggedy Ann still has the blush on her cheeks, and a cardboard heart (found only in the early Raggedy Ann dolls). Raggedy Ann measures about 15″ tall, and Andy is about 16″ tall. While researching the twosome, I found this lovely HISTORY OF RAGGEDY ANNE online. Raggedy Ann was created by the talented author and illustrator Johnny Gruelle. She began as a family rag; an old toy, faded and worn, tossed into an attic. And there, the legend goes, a little girl named Marcella found her one wet and rainy day. Her father Johnny Gruelle, saw infinite possibilities in that old plaything, so he repaired her and gave her a name. With her shoe-button eyes and winsome smile, Raggedy Ann soon became the beloved playmate of Gruelle’s young daughter, Marcella. When Marcella Gruelle fell ill and died in her early teens, Johnny was devastated. But knowing how much his daughter had adored Raggedy Ann, he began writing the stories that were eventually published. Gruelle soon gave Raggedy Ann a brother named Andy, and through the years the two floppy rag dolls acquired many other wonderful story book friends – all inhabitants of a very special world, where dolls come alive and enjoy magical adventures when no mortals are present. There’s also an indentation on the wood guide but it looks like it’s a natural part of the wood. The legs of the guide need to be glued in place. Comes in a black felt bag. Alexis Gaudin Petzval 200mm f4 Very Early French Antique Brass Lens c1856 RARE

An antique brass lens of petzval design by a very early french lens maker. Alexis Gaudin Circa 1856. Engraved on barrel beneath the rack. Also signed AG 1856 on front achromat & 1856 on rear flint glass. 8/200mm speed approx. This lens is of typical petzval design. With a cemented achromat doublet lens at the front and 2 air spaced lenses(flint+crown) at the back. Both lens groups are set in their own housings indicating a quality construction. Cosmetic condition: The outside of the brass lens barrel shows much patina and wear commensurate with age. The barrel has been cut(rather crudely) at a later date in order to accept waterhouse stopsnone included! The front hood has some dings so no longer perfectly round! Optical condition: Optically the lens is clean / clear. On close inspection there are some small dust / cleaning / blooming marks / scratches / tiny edge chips to glass and a very small spot of separation on front element all normal for an antique lens of this age and nothing to affect performance. Mechanical condition: The rack and pinion focussing is working fine. I have tested on my Graflex 5×4 camera and this lens focuses a nice sharp image with. It covers the 5×4 plate/film format fine even at infinity. With a focal length of 200mmapprox. This lens is an ideal portrait lens on this format. Should also cover 1/2 plate/5×7 at portrait distancenot tested! THERE IS A FLANGE/RETAINING RING INCLUDED! Also a front cap(very worn). Visible front glass elements diameter: 5.7cm. Visible rear glass elements diameter: 5.7cm. Screw thread: 7.3cm. Outside diameter of flange: 11cm. Please look at all pictures and do not hesitate to ask any questions!
