SOME MISSHAPEN AREAS ALL AROUND AND SURFACE SCRATCHING AND DISCOLORATIONS I’M NOT QUITE SURE, HOWEVER AS THE PICTURE IS. DEPICTED, IT LOOKS TO BE MAYBE FROM THE 1900’S THE HANDLE WAS ORIGINALLY PAINTED RED AND THERE IS PAINT MISSING THE INSIDE HAS. BEEN LEFT IN IT’S ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH POSSIBLY DIRT FROM LONG AGO. VERY RARE ANTIQUE COALPORT ROCOCO REVIVAL ADELAIDE EARLY 1800’S. SIGNATURE DUCK SPOUT TEAPOT. Unmarked, as was the case for this period, except for the fractional 3/64? On the underside, this 200 year old signature duck spout teapot is in very nice condition with a 10 hole strainer and only minor gilt loss on the handle. It has a white ground, an unusual blue patterned body and verge with gold scrolling and accents, and gilt edge. This footed bulbous fluted embossed teapot measures 10.5″ spout to handle, is 6″ wide and 6.5″ high; and the 3.5″ X 3 top has a crown finial. Very Rare Early 19th C Gilt Brass Japanese Bracket Or Table Clock Makura Dokei
A very fine and rare early 19. Century gilt brass Japanese bracket / table clock or Makura Dokei in need of restoration. The plated lantern type spring driven movement with balance wheel and verge escapement, the balance with silk suspension. Originally with datework and dial with adjustable hour chapters. Gilt brass case/frame beautifully engraved with foliate sprays and devices. Beautifully turned frame pillars. Rosewood base with convex friese in which is the key drawer. The mechanism is complete but lacks the original dial and datewheels. The striking train is missing only the gathering pallet for the countwheel. A very fine and rare clock but in need of a little careful restoration. Please see images below. At the top of the images below I have included a short video to give you an idea of how the strike mechanism runs. Please allow the video to load before playing it through. In very good but incomplete condition and as seen. The whole clock retains its original gilding in exceptionally good condition. The movement is in very good condition but missing the dial, hand, date wheels and gathering. Pallet for the count wheel. The wheel trains run smoothly when pressure is applied and the escapoement operates and the clock strikes (see videos). The bell rings perfectly with a silvery tone. Overall height of clock to top of bell finial and including wooden base 11.2 cm (4 3/8). Overall height of clock to top of finial but excluding wooden base 9.8 cm (3 7/8). Top and bottom plates 8.7 cm x 5 cm (3 7/16 x 2). Height frame excluding finials 6.6 cm (2 5/8). Packed weight 1.26 kg. Size 30 X 23 X 14 cm. Stunning Herbert Terry 1431 magnifying anglepoise desk/table lamp, c 1940s. This is a great example of a very rare lamp which is in original condition. This version is wall mounted however it comes with an additional hand made bracket so it can be desk mounted, this can easily be removed if required. This is a used lamp so it has some age related marks however it is in great condition and holds all angles well. An amazing lamp which would look great in any setting.
