An early and unique Tiffany Studios single-arm sconce, of petite proportions, together with a large white ruffled-rim opalescent shade. The shade is absolutely gorgeous, when held up to the light it displays a spectacular array of opalescent colors. I do not see a signature or series of numbers but there is a small round mark near the rim, which could also be from an over-tightened screw but appears a bit far up the neck for a screw. The fixture itself is quite simplistic, with only small hints of L. A traditional form “candle cup” bobeche flows down into a round lily pad section with a swirling design. The arm has a wire wrap under the bobeches and at the wall cap side has a small round fitting, both are typical design elements in fixtures made in the early years of the studios. The Socket is General Electric and the shade fitting is Victor. (see photos on my web page) They were all originally from the same estate, and saved by maintenance during renovations. Some highlights of this group were: Pair of rare entryway sconces with their original bronze backplates, A moorish “chainmail” ceiling pendant, Pair of incredibly rare double-arm, half-gas/half electric sconces, and 6 double arm “student” sconces. See photos on my web page. Condition : The shade is in very good shape with no breaks, cracks, or repairs. There is some remnants of paint splatter which can easily be removed, and 2 small chips to the fitter. The fixture is In need of restoration to the finish. Rare Bronze Tiffany Lamp, Early 20th Century. Good original bronze lamp base, marked to underside Tiffany studios, New York, 326. Condition very good with nice patina. A couple of the bun feet have been knocked slightly out of line and the flex entry hole ferrule is damaged, both of which could easily be rectified. The lamp fitting thread has worn so is loose so would require a little more attention but still repairable. 270mm high to top of shade holders. Would take a shade of approx. This rare early 1900’s Sterling TULIP Vase is from one a series of vases from the original Louis Comfort Tiffanys floral vase series. The detail and craftsmanship in this vase is fluid and exceptional. It is everything one expects from Tiffany & Co. Lustrous silver glow, heavy hand feel, balanced shaped and form. A wonderful piece to add to your collection or as a Wedding gift for that special couple. Also, they are approximately 5.5 inches in height. Okay, back to the beautiful vase! It is in lovely condition. Please do have a close look at the images as they are part of the description. It is in very good Antique condition. There is some tarnish and wear as would be expected with age. I have polished it lightly with a silver cloth to bring up the shine but leave the in depth polishing to your discretion.
