Antique Early Staffordshire Figure Medieval King Arthur Rare Vintage Ceramic

Like many pieces from this time there are flaws – one chip as seen to the underneath of the base, a repair between his head and neck which has been done well, and a line in his cloak as well as wear to the pearl like coating. There isn’t much I can find about this piece – he may well be King Arthur and this particular style of figurine is extremely rare.

A rare pair of antique Staffordshire pottery monkey figures, dating from the first half of the 1800s. The monkeys are seated on a mound and holding fruit. They are a true mirror pair – one monkey holds the fruit in its left hand, the other monkey holds the fruit in its right hand. The figures are approximately 3.25 inches tall. There are no chips, no cracks, just some crazing and paint loss and wear, and some minor kiln firing flaws. Please see the photos for details. Thank you for looking! Track Page Views With. Rare Antique Pair of Miniature 4 English Staffordshire King Charles Spaniel Dog
Posted by admin On August 21, 2024
Not new with crazing but otherwise in good vintage condition as seen clearly in the 24 pictures/sizes are seen in photos. Crazing is the effect on pottery which causes it to have a web of tiny cracks over its surface. These are not cracks in the actual structure of the pottery but actually an effect on the glazed part of the pottery. This exquisite pair of miniature figurines is a I believe rare antique find from the early 20th century. The Staffordshire King Charles Spaniel Dogs are beautifully crafted with a glossy finish and art pottery production style. Measuring about 3 inches in length and 4 inches in height, these original figurines are handmade and feature intricate details, including the iconic Staffordshire Dogs pattern. The white and black colour scheme adds to their vintage charm, and they are unboxed, ready to display in any collection. These figurines are a must-have for any dog lover or collector of early 20th-century pottery. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of history with this stunning pair of Staffordshire King Charles Spaniel Dogs.
