This is an antique miniature scent / perfume bottle made from porcelain or ceramic in the form of a fish. Art Deco era perfume – scent bottle. Very well modelled and I would say by the shape of it and colour it was a SALMON. The fish has been painted a bright orange with a white bottom and eye detailing. It comes with its original cork stopper with a pewter like metal in the shape of a CROWN so this may be from the Crown Perfumery related but then again maybe not. It has an impressed mark XE or XF 170 on the base within a shaped inset. It has a flat base and its is made to sit like this. In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. No damage from what I can see. There may be some small imperfections on the surface and edges. Please see pictures for more details and visual confirmation of condition. 125mm x 30mm x 20mm including the stopper. I cannot find any similar items online to compare this with and I have been unable to see a makers mark the same either. I would say it was from Germany as most you see with the Crown top seem to be. Let us see if we can narrow that down by the makers mark. It really is a fabulous scent perfume bottle and looks well in my collectors cabinet. Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter. MY TERMS AND CONDITIONS. In the title or description it means.
