1929 Antique Mickey Mouse Composition 12 Figure Doll EARLY RAT FACE. I believe this adorable creature is made of composition. As you can see from the cracking. He is obviously not mint condition but he is very old and he would make a neat addition to anyone’s collection. He does have condition issues as in some cracking and splitting but nothing that goes all the way through. We are offering for your consideration a 1920’s RARE ALL ORIGINAL MASK FACE GOOGLY EYES HUG ME KIDDIE 9 XLNT. This adorable GOOGLY doll is all original. She is offered just as I received her. She appears to have never been undressed. I choose not to undress her, as well. She is in excellent condition, considering her age. She is 9 tall. She has a few old moth holes but not distracting from her very nice condition. She has the usual huge eyes and depending on light, appears brown or blue, and unlike most I’ve seen her huge side glancing eyes are focused! I could find no crazing on her face at all. I doubt you’ll find another in this nice original condition. The fine lines on her face are from the mohair wig, not crazing. I will be happy to entertain offers. Upon lifting her skirt for photos, there appears to be seam separated in back of one leg. A small piece of felt missing on one leg and the other has felt that appears to be there but needs to be put back in place. This is not visible until lifting skirts. 17 Rare Early Cabinet Doll. With “Annoyed” Character Face. Original Antique Doll – Made in Germany. Bisque Head / Composition Body – Stands Approx. Marked (faintly): “Crown & Clover / L-1772 / Limbach”. Hard to Find and Displays Beautifully. This early Limbach cabinet character doll — with the distinctive eyebrows and “annoyed” facial expression — is quite rare. She is faintly impressed with the Limbach Porzellanfabrik markings: a crown, the three-leaf clover with “L” and “1772” in the leaves, and the name “Limbach” underneath it. There also appears to be a letter or number above the crown, but it is hard to make out. She has superb face painting, a lovely open mouth with teeth, and “annoyed” squinty eyes with frowning eyebrows. Her ears are not pierced. She has a very nice auburn French human-hair wig (marked “100% cheveux”) that further enhances her fiery demeanor. She is in her very old antique velvet dress, which has age issues noticeable on examination (melting, repairs — see below for details), but it just looks so perfect on her that I did not want to change it out. She also has a slip and pantaloons, as well as vintage shoes and socks. Note: Photo props not included: FRAMED PICTURE. Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. No issues found with the bisque after careful examination. Her antique velvet dress is extremely fragile, with a bit of age fading, “melting, ” and repairs on the inside surface. These issues can be seen on close examination. See final two photos. This is a very hard to find early composition doll using a Kaiser face bisque mold. Though unmarked, this baby was obviously a transitional doll when doll companies were switching from bisque to composition but still using their bisque face molds. He has a jointed cloth body and is wearing his original blue and white polka dot romper with blue buttons. This mold came in either black or white composition, but being black and transitional, is even harder to find. They came in either cloth or composition bodies. I have a white one with a composition body but it is not in as pristine condition as this beautiful baby. No damages to report, completely perfect. No repairs or touch ups, no leaking body. This and the black Dream Baby I have listed came from the original family from the same child. TEDDY BEAR NOT INCLUDED. This is an early antique 19 American Cloth Doll with an oil painted head. The seam on the head runs down both sides, down the back, and down the front of the head. The hair and facial features are very nicely painted. There is a split on the cloth up above the forehead. The body is cloth with mitten type hands. Painted areas show wear, but is all original. Here is a beautiful and rare, early long-faced French Schmitt bebe in tiny cabinet size from early mid 1880’s. She is about 14 tall and is marked size 5 with shield on back of her head. She has perfect pressed bisque head with NO repairs, chips, cracks, hairlines, wig pulls or damage of any kind. She has dark blue paperweight eyes. Her painting is delicate and fair in color and she resembles an early EJ Jumeau but with more subtle painting. She has a dreamy expression and darling in this rare small size. Her body is fixed wrist wood and composition Schmitt body with flat butt. It is not marked but is definitely a Schmitt body.
