Rare Chinese short sword called paidao – China, 2nd half 19th early 20th. Traditionaly this sword was used in combination with a round shield made of rattan. The whole shape and material used make me think it is related to the Southern China, especially the North of Tonkin area. Heavy single edged blade, very thick at the forte. The grip is made of wood. Antique China Doll, 21German Hertwig. 1870s-1890s China shoulder plate, china flat shoes, leather arms, original sawdust stuffed body with a nice shape and small waistline. The linen on the body still has a sheen in material. Meet Rose she has cotton tucks bloomers, white eyelet cotton petticoat with tucks and lace, a green Calico skirt and Edwardian style Juliet sleeves blouse, adorned with an antique green velvet ribbon bow, antique green ribbon trim and valiance lace. Her sweet face is complemented by a charming Maroon Velvet Antique Bonnet Hat, (Artist made by dove) with a Vintage Tatted lace lining, vintage tiny roses and berries. She has beautiful black lace gloves. Rose has black hair with a deep center part she has one stroke eyebrows. She has exposed ears, red high liner eye lids, red nostrils, pretty blue eyes and apple cheeks! She has large flat feet/shoes, (the black is rough and worn), she has cobalt blue garter laces at the knee. Repair/crack to china right calf. Hair rubs on back of china head, tiny fire spots all giving her character and charmshe has a discolored pinky finger and the ring finger on left hand. She has had minor reinforcement repairs to her arms. Her cloths all have minimal stains consummate with their age. You might want to wash/ soak some of her clothing as I did not attempt. Rose is from my collection, she is a beauty and remarkably, in good shape, for her age. Thank you for your consideration. This is a lovely early antique 7 Miniature Dollhouse China doll that is all original with an old dress- No issues to the China head. She has a rare hairdo. The China Head is a very nice shape. Her arms are bisque and legs are the china And in great shape with no issues. Fantastic example- please see picture. Her China is in very nice condition. Very uncommon antique German China Doll with a beautiful expressive face and fancy hair. She measures 20 high. The head measures 5.25 high by 5 at its widest. It is free of damage besides some small amount of wear around the base and some loss to the black paint on the hair on the back. Her hair is swept back and held in place with molded rosettes. Original leather body with replaced antique Bisque arms. These were most-likely added to her after her original owner had a mishap with her 150 years ago. Some collectors will not be bothered that they dont match – as for the others, it shouldnt be difficult to find a pair of suitable china replacements. Shes wearing an antique or vintage gown. Rare Set of twelve Early 19th Century Spode China Pattern 282 Plates. This set of stone china plates are decorated with a colorful flowering tree encircled with a floral border. The reverse is decorated with painted designs. They are impressed Spode(Pattern 282) Tree of Life and date from the early 19th Century. They measure approximately 7 + 5/8 inches in diameter.
