Rare Early 1768 French Antique Solid Sterling Silver Wine Taster Barware
Posted by admin On August 26, 2023
A very rare early French antique solid sterling silver wine taster. It is hallmarked with the French charge and discharge marks for 1768 – 1774, pre French Revolution. It has been superbly made having a scroll handle and engraved initials. It is in good condition for its age being free from splits and repairs, there are a few slight dinks to the raised decoration and one tiny pin hole – see final photo (worth getting sorted on such a rare piece). It is nice and clean inside. 4 inches (10cm) wide including the handle by 3.25 inches (8cm) excluding it by 1 inch (2.6cm) tall to the top of the handle and and weighs 84 grams. A very rare early piece. If you have any queries etc… To see lots more rare and beautiful silver. All items are cleaned and display ready should you be a retailer or collector, or ready to wrap should you be purchasing a gift. That way we save you time and we discover any faults, not you.

Vtg Rare Early Kay Bojesen USC Rosewood Brass Wine Corkscrew MCM Danish Barware
Posted by admin On June 4, 2020
Early Examples of Kay Bojesen Rosewood Corkscrews for Universal Steel Company. The corkscrews are in beautiful condition. The wood is so nice and smooth. The only’blemish’ is some cuts on one of the ends to the “winged” one, as seen, but as you will also see – you barely notice that at all when it’s in use. The actual screw has patina, but that just adds to the charm. You can see some really nice ridges along the spiral of the “winged” example, which tell me it’s a lovely early example, where they paid attention to even that little detail. The other odd-shaped one is in great condition, no issues. Some light age to the screw, but nothing bad as you see in the photos. Wing-shaped: Length of wooden handle approx. 10,5 cm / 4.1 in. Height from top of handle to bottom of screw: 10,3 cm / 4.1 in. Odd shaped: Length (bottom of screw to top of wood) approx: 10 cm / 3.9 in. Length of wooden top: 9,8 cm / 3.9 in. Total: 52g+50g / 3.6 oz. I measure in centimeters and grams and then do conversions to US measurements, so the most accurate numbers are the metrics. The US measurements should only be seen as guides. Please ask me any questions you might have. I’m more than happy to help! I write the weight of the items in my listings so you can get an idea of the combined weight, but please remember that packaging will add to the total weight so this is only a guideline. I will calculate and send you the actual cost, so please message me. 0-100 g / 0-3.5 oz. 101-500 g / 3.5-17.6 oz. 0-2000 g / 0-70.5 oz.
