Rare Pair of Early Regency Spode 967 Pattern English Imari Porcelain Hand Painted Porcelain 8ΒΌ Plates. Round indented edge shape. English imari fence pattern in characteristic imari colors of under-glaze blue & over-glaze orange-red, green & gilt. By hand red Spode 967 near the foot rim. Godden mark #3648b, Written mark with pattern number on earthenware and porcelain, c. Spode pattern 967 is shown on p. 223 of Cushion, Encyclopedia of British Porcelain which notes that the pattern was introduced in 1804. Very attractive clean pair in fine condition but for very small underside edge nick on one of little matter, otherwise no chips, cracks, hairlines. All Items Are Sent Insured.
