Outstanding Rare Large Red Consolidated Art Glass Pigeon Blood Bittersweet Vase
A Fabulous 1920’s Antique Red Vase. Collectors of Consolidated / Phoenix Glassware know that red pieces are very rare and desirable! This wonderful Bittersweet Vase is believed to be the work of Reuben Haley as part of the much sought-after Martele Line. It measures about 9-5/8″ tall and 5-1/4″ wide. The opening is about 3-1/4 wide. My grandmother was a well-known life-long antique glass collector here in Minnesota. In the 1970’s, she gave this vase to my mother, who is also an antique glass collector. The color is a deep ruby red or pigeon blood color. There are bubbles inside the glass, and a few other manufacturing inconsistencies, which attest to the age and authenticity of this piece. There is very minor wear and a couple tiny pinpricks along the rim, from years of careful enjoyment. Nothing interferes with the beauty of this piece. An essential item for a serious collector. See my other auctions and save more! This item is in the category “Pottery & Glass\Decorative Pottery & Glassware\Vases”. The seller is “makehappytime” and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped worldwide.

A Rare Very Early Antique Noritake Twin Handled Lidded Floral Pastel Vase c1902
A Rare Very Early Antique Noritake Twin Handled Lidded Floral Pastel Vase c1902. A beautiful and very rare, early Noritake twin-handled, lidded floral vase bearing the single blue Noritake Komura mark to the base, dating the vase to >1902. The vase is of a beautiful four-footed pedestal form with twin open-top handles and lid with pointed finial. The vase is intricately hand-decorated with pink, purple and yellow blossoms with foliage and beautiful gilt beading and scrollwork on a white and turquoise ground. A really wonderful, early collector’s item. The vase is in quite remarkable condition with no chips or cracks to the body even the handles are good! But there is a little rubbing to the gilt around the topmost rim. The lid has been broken but professionally restored with the damage almost invisible to the outward facing area. A really good piece of restoration. Please see photographs for more information. The vase is 33cm high (including lid), 14cm diameter, 1063g weight. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like further details or pictures. Please see my other items which include a number of pieces of Noritake porcelain. 1912 Rare Royal Doulton Square Vase Dutch Scene Ethel Beard & Leslie Harradine
1912 Rare Royal Doulton Square Vase Dutch Scene. Ethel Beard & Leslie Harradine. Tube Lined Scene of Dutch’Goose-Girl’ Fully Impressed Inc AH Incised. AH – Ada Tosen, Senior Assistant at Royal Doulton. This a very rare and very valuable Royal Doulton vase of square form, that is then tube lined to create a scene of a Dutch girl rounding up a goose from the lightly wooded field. It is a most attractive vase and the two main panels are highlighted against a classic Doulton blue green glazed ground, a short run of an incredible Arts & Crafts piece, that for every successful vase were several firing failures, as each piece went under several firings to such fine vases. This vase was created at a time when Continental Art Nouveau had a short lived influence before Doulton found their own expression, their own Art Nouveau style. Very few survived the manufacturing process and even fewer survived the 110 years since it went on sale for less than 12 months, before the outbreak of WW1 stopped most manufacturing that was not war effort focussed, or the production staff were not called up to fight or work on supplying the frontline. These amazing pieces of art were designed and produced by Ethel Beard and Leslie Harradine, two of the very great names at Royal Doulton, assisted by one of the Senior Assistants Ada Tosen. Ada worked as an assistant to some of the great early names of Doulton, from about 1880 to about the 1920s. This significant and amazing vase was as a result of such wonderful partnerships being at Doulton, prior to WW1, and this is one of their best pieces in my opinion. The vase is approx. 21.5cms tall, approx. 16cms wide and approx. 10cms deep, being in amazing condition, which is remarkable for a vase of 110 years old, a true and rare antique that is highly collectable. I cannot honestly see any restorations or repairs and the impressed marks on the base are correct. The most wonderful of decorations and it needs a home that can admire and protect it in equal measures. The pictures do not do it justice at all, but are important to show the condition. This item is in the category “Pottery, Ceramics & Glass\Decorative Pottery, Ceramics & Glass\Vases”. The seller is “curiouscatcollectables” and is located in this country: GB.
