Found very recently in a well-appointed Boston, MA early estate, it’s remarkably rare, not only because of its unusual form, being a’Double Crusie’ Betty or Phoebe whale oil lamp but because it’s absolutely untouched, undisturbed and largely as it was originally constituted, incredibly some 190 to 230 years ago. It would be hard to find a 200 year old piece of Ame ri can primitive lighting in any better original antique condition than this. Very Good to Excellent overall antique condition.
