Origin: English Period: Early 20thC Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1915-25 Width: 6.5 Height: 3.5. The ellipse shaped painted enamel railways sign, in peacock blue lettering to an ivory ground reading Please Leave This Lavatory As You Would Wish to Find It in capital lettering, and surviving from the first quarter of twentieth century England. In good overall order, the sign has some restoration to the edges as photographed. The two original holes remain for door or wall mounting. This sign would have been mounted to the toilet door in a station and we cannot find another comparable example on or offline. There have been countless reproductions of this kind of sign throughout the 21st century. An extremely rare original sign that raises a smile and one that can still be used to good effect today. Dates from the turn of the last century circa late 1800s to early 1900s. In very nice age appropriate condition having true authentic age character. Has a glue reinforced split which is very inconspicuous. The hand is missing a couple pin nails which could easily be replaced. Rare Early Cadburys Cocoa Enamel Sign. Very Rare old sign, this is one of the Earliest Cadbury Signs, it has Green writing on a White background, it is made in ceramic enamel. The sign has had a rough life, it looks like someone has tried to fold it in half at some point, the rust has got in but it is a rare piece and well worth adding to any collection or it would be authentic decoration for any design. RARE Antique Early 1900s Corbin Lock Key Hardware General Store Oak Display Sign. Excellent condition for its age all the way around. Original back door still opens and closes nicely. Original Corbin decals on each side are still in nice condition. Wood still has its original finish. The front is a little dusty under the hardware but will clean up. This piece came from a long time general store collector. Id say about 1/3 of the hardware is original on the front and the rest are reproduction but still nice.
