Italian Renaissance Folding Chair. Rare folding chair, known as a’Pincer’ chair, or Sedia Tanaglia. Northern Italian, late 15th or early 16th century. Beech wood with incised geometric decoration. Still in working order with no apparent restoration. Similar to the armchair version, known as a Savonarola chair. I have been in business for over 30 and have handled only two of this type, it is very rare and in great condition. This is a great opportunity to own a very rare chair, and it is sturdy enough to use. 31.5 inches high 80 cm. 17 inches wide 43 cm. 17 inches deep 43 cm.
