Up for sale is an exceptionally rare early woman college basketball lithograph depicting a female player holding a laced ball with a big smile. Behind her is a closed net basket with the schools logo located low left. This lithograph is dated 1911 and serves as a wonderful example of the evolution of the game especially for women’s sports at the turn of the century. Eckert Lithographic Company. Signed by the artist in the plate “A Enroth”as seen top right the print is in overall just lovely condition and the finest example I have been able to locate. Resting in a gold wood frame measuring 32.5 x 24.5 inches the lithograph measures 22 x 14 inches.
