Very RARE circa 1850 antique English Copeland china for John Mortlock, London large covered vegetable bowl or soup tureen. The tureen is marked with impressed “Copeland” mark and 1733 red pattern number on the buttom. The lid is marked with retailers mark John Mortlock, Orchard St, Oxford St, London. Fabulous multi-colored Imary pattern. Fresh from a local Estate Sale. Was a merchandising rather than a manufacturing operation. Dimensions: approximately 11-1/4 inches long x 4-3/8 inches tall to top of the lid x 6-5/8 inches wide (28.5 cm x 11 cm x 16.5 cm). Condition: Excellent, no damage, normal wear on gold rim (edges on the lid). VERY FINE EXAMPLE OF ANTIQUE ENGLISH CHINA.
