Blue background with white bas relief panels, handle and spout. Panels show the harvest, cherubs and a boy drinking wine. The handle has figural head of the Ram and the spout show Bacchus, the Greek god of wine with ram horns. Pitcher has pewter lid which is intact and good condition. British registry mark indicates that this piece was made August 25, 1852. Stunning quality of workmanship. Pitcher is 6 1/4″ in height, opening is 2 5/8″ in diameter, the length from spout to handle is approximately 6. Wonderful condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Minimal evidence of use.
