Here we have a beautiful vintage yellow ware rolling pin. Produced by the Brush-McCoy Pottery Company around 1915, body of the rolling pin measures 8″ in length and the overall length from handle to handle is 17 ½”. At over 100 years old, this rolling pin survives in in excellent condition with only minor glaze wear on the edges that doesn’t detract. The wooden handles, likewise, are in original condition with no splits or cracks in the wood. Additional photographs and information about rolling pins can be found in Lisa McAllister’s Collector’s Guide to Yellow Ware in Book I on page 62. Considering that most households would have owned a rolling pin, few have survived to this day especially in this fine collectable condition.
