An original rare if not unique heavy brass bulls head car mascot belonging to the earl of westmoreland / fane family. The mascot is nicely detailed and is made in two parts from solid brass and other than the iron nut is stuck on the thread it is in very good uncleaned condition with no damage. Approx 5&1/2 inches tall.
Georges Omerth – Fine Rare Early 20thC French Bronze Cockerel Car Mascot/Hood Ornament. Very well modelled dark patinated heavy bronze with traces of gilding mounted on a verde antico marble plinth. RARE ANTIQUE EARLY 20th CENTURY ROVER VIKING CAR MASCOT. Discovered in the Cotswolds this beautiful and rare car mascot in the form of a Viking is one of the earliest used by Rover cars and could be as early as from the Edwardian era. Made from cast brass he is holding a spear with a copper shaft and has been mounted on a faux ebony plastic base.
