17 Rare Early Cabinet Doll. With “Annoyed” Character Face. Original Antique Doll – Made in Germany. Bisque Head / Composition Body – Stands Approx. Marked (faintly): “Crown & Clover / L-1772 / Limbach”. Hard to Find and Displays Beautifully. This early Limbach cabinet character doll — with the distinctive eyebrows and “annoyed” facial expression — is quite rare. She is faintly impressed with the Limbach Porzellanfabrik markings: a crown, the three-leaf clover with “L” and “1772” in the leaves, and the name “Limbach” underneath it. There also appears to be a letter or number above the crown, but it is hard to make out. She has superb face painting, a lovely open mouth with teeth, and “annoyed” squinty eyes with frowning eyebrows. Her ears are not pierced. She has a very nice auburn French human-hair wig (marked “100% cheveux”) that further enhances her fiery demeanor. She is in her very old antique velvet dress, which has age issues noticeable on examination (melting, repairs — see below for details), but it just looks so perfect on her that I did not want to change it out. She also has a slip and pantaloons, as well as vintage shoes and socks. Note: Photo props not included: FRAMED PICTURE. Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. No issues found with the bisque after careful examination. Her antique velvet dress is extremely fragile, with a bit of age fading, “melting, ” and repairs on the inside surface. These issues can be seen on close examination. See final two photos. IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE – for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of “hair” lashes on bisque heads, not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors – for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc. Any MAJOR issues — hairline crack, total repaint, etc. – would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not. They are to be expected. I’LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER. Provided it’s rated the same (or faster) than the service you chose. If you live in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, or U. Message me to see whether there may be a cheaper alternative using Priority Post — depending on the size and value of your parcel. And provided the items can travel safely in the same box. WHAT, NOTHING TO COMBINE! ? (opens in a separate window/tab)… Where you’ll find more top-quality antiques/collectibles/artwork/dolls/and more! Significantly not as described: A. Flaw or discrepancy vs. What was stated in the listing. As often happens, it’s the few bad apples out there who ruin it for the rest of us. Not knowing what they’re doing. And then, when they realize they’ve ruined the doll, they return it saying it was defective. BUT HAVING SAID ALL THAT.. I do bend over backwards, attempting to disclose any noteworthy condition issues I can find or think of. But these are antique and vintage dolls — so, please understand that they won’t be in brand-new condition. There will always be some minor indication of their age, and it would be impossible to itemize every single pinhead-size stain on the outfit, or hairline scratch on the body. Please expect these types of conditions with old dolls. IT CONTAINS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION. Antique Rare Early Orobr German Tin Litho Working Wind Up Steam Roller. This has a very cool looking chain driven Drive Mechanism. When wound up the toy features forward movement and has backwards movement. This toy is almost a 100 years old. This is very hard to find all original and in working condition. Needs a bit of lube which I have not done to keep from attracting dirt. Measures 6 inches long, 2-1/2 inches wide and 3-1/4 inches high. SA 5037 020919 2/192. From The Internet: The name Orobr was actually one of the trademarks of the Oro Works (Orowerke) toy company of Brandenberg, Germany. The owners and partners of the company were Mr. The company manufactured inexpensive, but well-made tin toys both before WWI and again after the war, until 1922. Surprisingly, for low-cost toys, there were some very complex toys made that had as many as 42 different pieces of tin plate with tabs. The small tabs were made to fit into small slots and then bent to hold together the 2 different pieces. This listing is for an early antique Black Forest wall clock. This clock is very unusual, as it features a roof like top, ornately carved lower panel with a carving of a man, carved dial, ornate hands, and wooden movement. The clock is missing its weights. We took photos with weights from an American ogee clock attached in order to show where the chains are. The ogee weights are not included. There are remnants of a makers label on the back. It looks like it says KHS with the emblem of an animal of sorts. This clock measures 48 x 15 x 8 inches. Its a beautiful pieces that we unfortunately do not know a whole lot about. There is a piece of trim missing on the upper right side and it appears that there was once a top ornament or finial of sorts that is missing (see photos). This item is part of an inherited estate. Thus, time accuracy is not guaranteed. Please see photos for details and feel free to message with any questions.
