Very Rare Wooden Sailor Ramp Walker. His feet move and work. All original paint 8-inches. Marked on bottom feet. This would make a fantastic addition to any toy collection. I could not find another sailor and even if a few do exist I cant imagine they would be found in this condition. Nose intact and works. Rare early english Slit head antique wax doll Twins all original Stunning

Beautiful very rare antique wax over slit head twins in fantastic original condition. Dating to approx 1840. Both measure just over 17 heigh, their outfits are identical consisting of 5 layers, long knickers, chemise, woolen underskirt, calico under dress and a delicate shear cotton over dress, one has a pink ribbon sash and hair ribbons the other blue. I do not think the clothing has ever been removed from them and I have not undressed them. Their eyes are both pupil less glass eyes and their hair is all original mohair that has been inserted into the slit on their heads and still retains their lovely ringlets. The doll with pink ribbons has green leather arms and the blue one tan leather arms both with no damage. Their body’s are obviously fabric and there is no leaking sawdust from either of them. They really are super and very rare to find twins, I will list what faults I can find on each doll individually and you are free to ask for more photos. Pink ribbon doll, tiny hole 1/4 cm to one side of dress which is unnoticeable really, maybe some hair missing just below the ribbon at the back of on her hair, ribbons faded but still have colour. Blue ribbon doll – small nick in fabric to back of dress (not really noticeable) blue ribbon split at the back that could easily be sewn. Ribbon frayed at side of waist, one eyebrow missing, easily can be drawn back on. Tiny little dent to 1st layer of wax to her chin again not really noticeable. I have never removed their clothes so cannot garentee what their bodies are like but judging by the rest of both of the dolls the body’s will be perfect and they feel just fine and very robust with no leaking sawdust. Wonderful estate fresh Simon Halbig Bisque face with brown sleep eyes, open mouth with four upper teeth. Solid dome ball jointed head , shoulders, elbows, wrist and knees. She has pierced ears though no earrings. The bisque head is perfect witout damage or retorations. Her early Sonenberg style body is in played with condition. She wears an antique human hair wig and an antique tulle dress with antique shoes and socks. One finger missing on left hand (middle finger) & broken pinky on other. Circa 1900 and marked with 6 pointed star with a K on one side and a R on the other. Simon & Halbig on the back of the her head and number 80 at base of the neck. Item was label with name of Julia. For your consideration, I have a rare swivel neck with cobalt blue enamel sleep eyes in original set. Her only flaw is the chip in the top of her left leg. Early peg jointed arms and legs. There are two kinds of antique roses at her neck. The Antique cotton tulle bobble tambour. Lace has a touch of blush to it. The under dress is also rare lame silk and she has silk covered buttons. Her hat has a feather that of sets the color in her skirt. The silk ribbon in her hat is also very old. The hat is made out of tiny point de spirit lace and lavender silk ribbon with pink silk ribbon on the edge. She will bring joy to you every time you look at her. She was originally made from 1880 to 1899 in France or Germany. Thank you for looking. Antique Rare DOOR OF HOPE Mission DOLL Oriental Carved Wood Head Early Period

Door of Hope Mission Doll. Rare seldom seen, Antique Vintage early period COLLECTIBLE DOOR OF HOPE MISSION WOMAN DOLL, CIRCA 1901. Door of Hope was created in Shanghai, China in 1901 to help destitute children. These dolls were made TO help fund the mission. Young girls of the mission intricately handmade each doll’s clothing replicating what the Chinese people worn. The heads/neck area of the early period dolls were carved of Chinese fruitwood (generally Pearwood), while their arms, hands and feet were made of cloth. In later years the dolls hands and arms to the elbow, and sometimes feet and legs were also made of wood. The wood is very smooth, unvarnished with great detail. ThE eyes hair and lips would then be lightly handpainted almost like stained/brushed/rubbed with color. The bodies were made of cloth stuffed with raw cotton and bound feet. There were no markings on these dolls. This doll is from the 1. Early edition early period. Her HEAD/neck area is carved OF fruitWOOD (generally pearwood). Her hair is in a carved bun style with gold accents and handpainted/stained face. Her body is the early period cloth body with cloth hands circa 1901. She wears a long black skirt over long blue pants, with long sleeve mandarin collar tunic top. She has tiny feet with bound silk and embroidered slippers/shoes pointed up. There is a slight rub spot on the bottom back of her skirt from age as is typical with silk-(see photo). She is great condition for her age AND A BEAUTIFULLY HANDCRAFTED DOLL. Her face needs cleaning or could be darker from age, we have let it in its original condition. There is a slight rub spot on the bottom BACK oF her SKIRT/dress from AGE/storage as is typical with silk (SEE PHOTO w/circle-hard to see). Also just beneath this is a tiny white speck. Also there is a worn spot on the back of her sleeves of the tunic , as shown in photos, typical from age. We have tried to describe everything we see. As is typical with something of this age there may be slight other imperfections we have not seen. Everything is described to the best of knowledge.
