An early 1860’s’New England’ hand cranked chainstitch sewing machine in excellent condition, produced by Charles Raymond probably between 1861-65. The rarest and most sought after version of these very similar looking Weir / Raymond machines. An Extremely Early Lantern Clock by Daniel Hoskins London? Display at Bateman’s, National Trust East Sussex, Former Jacobean. Home of Rudyard Kipling. Both that one and mine have near Identical. Steel flex from Pendulum top is present. I have been told it would need. A weight in excess of 5kgs, no less, to activate mechanism. I have not myself tried the mechanism.
