Rare Early 1900 Antique Korean Hand Carved HaiTai Tiger Herbal Medicine Grinder. This medicine grinder is very heavy at just under 16LBS and looks to be used. Kept in storage for over 50 years. Age: 1st quarter of 1900. Provenance: Private collection from South Korea, brought with us in 1980. This item was stored in a storage since early 1980 so they are not always in clean. It’s been collecting dust but I did clean up as much as possible without damaging the item. Item is in good condition overall with wear, possible old repair, cracks, splitting, loss of lacquer, tear, discoloration, smudges and loss of wood. Please see photos as part of description. Dimensions: 18.6″L x 5.1″D x 6H grinder only excluding roller. Weights approximately: 15.10LBS. It really does have quite a bit of age about it, but what is most fascinating are the notches to the top at the rear, their significance is unknown. The carved wooden Wahaika is in original untouched condition, no attempt has been made to polish / restore / clean it. It measures 36cms long & is 10.5cms wide at the top. Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique Working 1920’s Early HERMAN MILLER Large Fancy Regulator Wall Clock, made by the Herman Miller Clock Company Zeeland Michigan USA. This Has an Ornate Carved Walnut Wood Case with Fancy Carved Bottom, and Finial Topper. It is Signed on Back with the Original Herman Miller Brass Maker’s Label Tag, and Serial Number “4504”. This Has a Signed E. Welch Brass Mechanical Wind-Up “Time Only” Movement, with Lever Escapement. The Dial is a Paper Over Tin Dial with Roman Numerals. This is a Key Wind Clock, and includes a Winding Key. The Clock is Large, and Measures approx. 39″ Tall x 14 1/2″ Wide x 5 Deep.
