Offering this antique handmade metal tin set of tidy lamp stand and Betty lamp. Measures 10″ T x 6.25″ base. This is a hard piece to find. Stand made same time in the 1800s for the Betty to sit on. Has a great patina and wear. Both are in good overall condition. The bottom of the tray does have rustic hole damage as seen. Nothing loose or unstable. Great piece of lighting. Came from a collection of good lighting. Expect imperfections consistent with age and use.
SUPERB RARE EARLY EDWARDIAN OAK WRITING DESK. This is an outstanding Edwardian roll top writing desk. The desk is made of solid oak and is very solid however it does need the tambour along the front fixing. Please study all my pictures. There is no key otherwise overall in good condition throughout. The desk has many pigeon holes and shelves and 2 pull out side extensions. It also has 7 drawers all in fabulous condition. The desk 7 drawers with two pull out desk extensions to the top. All the drawers have oak handles and very rare Knapp dovetail joints. The dovetail joints were made in 1871, the Knapp Dovetailng Co. Began producing machines that could make these joints and transformed the furniture-making industry. At this time in the Industrial Revolution, factories in the United States were using machines for almost all furniture construction, except for the draw desk was manufactured by Hobbs of London. We date this desk between 1850 and 1900. Overall, this is a beautiful roll top antique writing desk. Please note the lock to the desk has been removed from the roll top section by the previous owners. This desk is very impressive and will be a great investment as well as a practical piece of furniture. The 10 small pigeon holes. 7.5 cm High. 12.5 cm Deep. The 4 long ones. Offering this rare antique lion. Measures 8″ x 4″ x 6 T. It’s in good overall condition with a nice glaze consisting of brown and yellow. Has crazing and the vintage crackled surface from age…. There is few minor spots of loss and abrasions on the edges as seen but no major cracks or lines.

There is a small black mark on the inner base, made during manufacture. Note: The Massif de l’Esterel is a low mountain range on the coast of the Mediterranean in SE France having a high elevation of around 2000 feet. The most well known cities adjoining the range are the French Riviera (Côte d’Azur) cities of Cannes on the east and Saint-Raphaël on the west that are connected to each other by the coast road Corniche d’Or.
