Antique Lace-rare Early Milanese 218 Handmade Lace Banquet Tablecloth

Maria NiforosAntique Lace & Textiles. This Milanese tablecloth came from a early collection of lace. I think that perhaps anywhere from 17-19THC. How early I do not know.. I personally have never seen anything like it, Measuring apprx. 218″ by 65″, or possibly the attached tag could be right… By 5 FT 3. An amazing amount of work & assorted designs on this cloth. It must have been made for someone so very wealthy. In mainly very good strong condition, there is one dark rust spot, about 1 & then a line that extends apprx. 10 so needs to be spot treated, some other storage stains & reattachments need , more minor. Many of the laces we are listing came from a very old lace collection. Laces were stored away for well over 60 -80 years. All were eventually kept in acid free tissue & acid free boxes. No date I could find, but likely late 1800s/early 1900s. Includes specimen pages of the new and devotional and practical pictorial family bible containing the old and new testaments…. Very interesting details throughout. All covers attached, tight and bright. Some wear to cover edges – see photos. Some pages a bit loose but all are intact. Most tissue papers covering B&W and Color illustrations are present. Some are not or have tears (see photo of one). Gilt edges with beautiful intricate, scalloped, gilt cover design with beveled cover edges. Back cover shows an alternative cover design – less gilt but still very detailed and scalloped – see last photo. Approximately 12-1/2″ x 10″ x 1-1/2 thick. Overall this is a very good example of this unique sample bible in great shape for its age and use. Antique Very Rare and Early Spanish/Portugese Delft Maiolica Dish Hare Circa 1600 -1650 Excavated A very rare and early Spanish or Portuguese maiolica dish painted in blue decorated in the centre with floral in which a jumping hare bordered by floral together with stylisted insects – – First half 17th Century – Diameter: 7,5 inch (190mm) – Very good condition, only some little chips/usual wear and a very little hole at the border (please see pictures) no cracks, hairlines or restorations – Found in the harbour of Amsterdam, a very rare found in this very good condition – Descended from own collection.
