Very Rare Early 1900 Korean Folk Item “Hussy” Wooden Container Box for Needlework, Thimble, needle and thread. The box is very nicely decorated on outside with Chinese characters and flower petals with double happiness in center of box. There are two sliding doors inside of box with Chinese characters but it looks like sliding doors are damaged. The item is in good condition overall for age with wear, nicks, chips, loss of paint, loss of wood and broken sliding doors. Please see photos as part of description. Lovely Rare Stoneware Vase. It has a full Martin Brothers mark on its base as you can see in the pics. It is a lovely vase with incised geometric type decoration. Approximately 24 cm tall. It is in good condition. It has some wear and a firing mark on the base and rim. I believe that the rim has a restored hairline also. The photos give an accurate representation. EARLY 1811 RARE Antique FAMILY RECORD SAMPLER Liberty KLINGON Eberly Embroidery

1811 Family Record Sampler. Presented for your consideration is this early sampler. The sampler is all hand embroidered and features a floral border around the outside edge as well as the bottom. Bottom edge reads Liberty Klingon Sampler 1811. On the bottom half of the sampler are several initials representing different family members. Top half of the sampler features the alphabet in upper and lower case lettering and numbers 1-14. The sampler is framed in a thick wooden frame. Attached to the back of the sampler is information about the family that the sampler is about. This information states that the initials on the front and back represent the following family members: Ann Boyd, William Klingon, Liberty Klingon, Mary Alice Boyer, Bette Champion, G. Tripp and Thelma Tripp + Eberly + Harris. The sampler came out of the Eberly estate in Jackson, Michigan. This rare sampler would make a great addition to any ancestry or embroidery collection! It looks like there are letters missing from the lower case alphabet. These appear to be the only stitches missing on the sampler. Light fading from age. Mild wear on the frame. Overall in VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT condition for its age. Please refer to the photos for the best details. Sampler alone measures 11 1/2 square. Entire piece measures 14 1/2 square. Beautiful Early Big Antique Staffordshire Dog’s. 12″&1/2 Inches tall and 9″&1/2 inches across bottom. Each One weights in at over 4 pounds. Beautiful Early Big Rare Antique Staffordshire Dog’s. Beautiful Early Big Rare Antique Staffordshire Spaniel Dog’s. Each One weights in at over 4 pounds(See photo’s of them on scale). These show all the obvious signs that they are real. Typical old base does not have casting holes. Note typical flaws such as firing lines, glaze frizzle, bumps and pitting(Shown in Photo’s with green arrow as you will see a bump and un-glazed spot on back tail on one) 3. Paint from the sides has dripped down over the edges of the base like on these you will see. Shows fine brush strokes on the muzzle and two dog’s are never painted the same like these two. Firing holes were made to release expanding gas which builds up inside hollow figures during firing. Typical firing holes average about one-eighth inch in diameter. Firing holes may or may not be present in original dogs. They may appear in the base or other locations such as the back 6. Most gold trim used on original dogs has a softer appearance than new gold trim & rarely has a mirror-like reflection, it is usually dull and almost always shows some random wear. Most gold trim used on original dogs has a softer appearance than new gold trim. Crazing in new glazes is often darkened with shoe polish, dark paint or vegetable stains either at the place of manufacture or after a piece has entered the market. Although many old pieces do show crazing, crazing is not in itself any guarantee or an indicator of when, where or how a piece of pottery was made, you’ll see that the old glaze/and crazing these dogs remain consistent from the underneath of the base through the body and face. The One to the right has some damage-either from it’s age or it took a bump at some point it’s very long life. The good news is-it looks to have never come apart into pieces-it’s tight and this area and not at all loose or coming apart. If you look at the detailed photo’s at the bottom with “small stick on green arrows” you will see where the damage suddenly stops. This is the only area of damage to both dogs.
