We spend a large part of every year in Asia and have personally selected every item that we sell. Our particular interest is in Tibet and things Tibetan and we will stand behind the authenticity of everything that we sell. ANTIQUE SILVER BELT I bought this belt at an antique shop in Varanasi, India in the mid 80s, & it is made in a very unusual floral Mughal style. It looks beautiful on a pair of pants, skirt or dress, really does a lot to embellish say a black dress or so. It is adjustable & measures 41″ long by just over 1″ at the web & 1 1/4 at the buckle, very hard to find anything like this in India & more than a thousand dollars there.. For more information plus the latest on travelling in Tibet, please visit our About Me. We accept international payments. Thank You, Christian Chaffee. This is an early antique Japanese Kutani vase, fresh from an old estate. It is hand painted with dragons, flowers, and decorative elements. This is a rare investment quality vase. This measures about 13 3/4″ tall x 9″ diameter. THIS ITEMS CONDITION REPORT. This has a few glaze pops and cracks. There are a couple of areas with surface scuffing, as pictured above. It does not have any major damage or chips. This weighs about 5 lbs 4 oz before packing. Please wait for your invoice before paying. On expensive fragile items, we may need to double box them. This will require additional labor and material costs. EVERY ITEM IS GUARANTEED TO BE THE ONE SHOWN IN MY IMAGES. I sell mostly antiques and collectibles, which will usually have the normal wear that you would expect to occur from normal use and age. I will mention anything I find objectionable in the condition report above. I SELL ONLY GENUINE ORIGINAL ITEMS. I do my very best to accurately represent each and every item I sell. I do not sell fakes or reproductions of any kind, unless they are clearly described as such. I guarantee every item I sell to be authentic, and to be made in the time period as represented. I welcome input from dealers and collectors in specialized areas, to help insure my listings are complete and accurate. If the listing ends over the weekend, you will normally receive an invoice on Monday. You will need to save the box and packing materials to show the shipper. Rare early 1800s wool & glass bead tapestry / needlepoint art two lovers
Posted by admin On June 27, 2018
For interesting glass , pottery , oil paintings , lamps , dolls and more…. This one is something i really hate to part with……. I have owned this tapestry for about 30 years……. But you simply cannot keep everything…….. The tapestry is all hand woven…… It is amazing and museum quality… 2 lovers in an embrace….. Parts of the entire painting have has glass beads woven into the tapestry tohighlight certain parts of the clothing…… In her hair and in his garment sleeve…. Also the ladys bracelets….. There is a mountain and trees in the background……. The art itself measures 17 1/2 inches across…… I do not know how much of the tapestry might be hidden under the frame….. Perhaps a bit more…. I have never taken it apart…… The colors are bright and stunning….. This was never exposed to much sunlight….. The frame itself is also stunning and early , but i do not know if it dates as old as the tapestry or not…… I think it pre civil war now……….. If someone can help me be more accurate…. I would surely be grateful to add their information to my description here…… I do not know why the numbers (71) appear stuck on the frame….. But i have never removed them…… The grapes are in relief in all four corners….. The grapes and vines are highlighted in gold gilding……… There is some gesso loss as the pictures show…… Again , it never bothered me to leave it as i found it so many years ago……. There is an old cloth back on the frame….. It sticks out past the wood…. Making the entire painting / tapestry some… 2 3/4 inches thick……. The wood measures 24 inches square…… Original finish on all of the wood…… I have always thought this was museum quality…… And i think it is flemish made…… It is a stunning piece of textile art……. I should mention that there is a picture of a spot in the blue sky…… To the left of the mans head… That has separated some……. There is at least one picture showing it…… I think it is insignificant , but i mention it for accuracy……. I hope someone will like this classic piece of art as much as i do….. Thank you for taking the time to search out this listing…….. My family appreciates how hard it is becoming to find anything on this site. Nancy or jon have taken a picture of the most interesting parts on each item….. My mom is often seen in the gallery photos showing the size of the item we have listed…… Usually the post office and sometimes ups…….. Since we send our things world-wide , it simply depends on where you live…… A toy or a tool…. Something for the bathroom , or a children’s book , whatever….. But all items will STILL BE insured by us , as we will pay for it on our end……. And again , all packing materials , wrapping tissue , paper , bubble wrap and boxes are free……. We re-cycle almost everything anyway and my brother Jon gets about 98% or 99% of his packages delivered to the customer in perfect condition……… ” having said that , UPS once broke our cast iron kitchen skillet “……. So you never know….. Thank you again for taking the time to visit this listing…. Best wishes and good luck in all of your searches….. I hope you liked our european tapestry….. I have more antique….. Unusual & sometimes just weird things in my….. Tony , jon , mom, & nancy. FREE scheduling, supersized images and templates. Get Vendio Sales Manager. Very Rare Telegraph Pottery Art Nouveau Large Vase/Jardiniere Circa Early 20th C
Posted by admin On June 26, 2018
Very Rare Telegraph Pottery Art Nouveau Large Vase/Jardiniere Circa Early 20th C. 16 cm (6.25) high. Rare Art Nouveau large vase/jardinière, probably made in the early part of the 20th Century, in the USA by Telegraph Pottery. It is not easy to identify early 20th century (or late 19th century) Art Nouveau pieces. There were many being produced, both in Europe, and in the USA, but they are all very rare now. This particular example, does have certain affinities, with many of the US schools, like Teco, Rookwood, Rumrill, Red Wing, etc. All are very collectable, and this is a superb example. This piece has a brown and green drip glaze, and gorgeous Art Nouveau styled moulded decorations. It is embossed on the base, with the “Telegraph” name, and the number #4. Very good condition, no chips or cracks, but fine crazing throughout. This rare Art Nouveau piece would make a great addition to any collection. Check out my other items. I have other rare pieces of English, European, US & Australian Pottery, Art Glass, Fine Porcelain as well as many other collectable items. Be sure to add me to your favourites list.
