FINE QUALITY RARE 18TH EARLY 19TH CENTURY CHINESE CARVED SLIDING TOP TANGRAM PUZZLE BOX WITH PUZZLES. This is a very Rare Breath Taking. Late 18th early 19th Century Chinese Tangram Carved Puzzle Box with Puzzles, i would estimate a date of circa 1800. Making this rare puzzle box over 200 years old. This rare puzzle box has a sliding lid carved with five figures and pagodas with flowering shrubs, some figures are. Walking across the landscape with a gentleman inside a pagoda waiting for them, all this is in a `bamboo` frame. To the other side of this amazing Tangram Box you will see a beautifully carved Lotus flower surrounded by wonderful foliage, There are carved pagoda’s and shurbs around the sides of the box, on sliding the top off you will see this still retains all of the original beautifully carved Tangram puzzles pieces , six in total, the quality of the craftsmanship is superb, this would have once belonged to a very wealthy 18th Century Gentleman many years ago when times were so very different, if this box could talk i can just imagine what fascinating stories it could tell, this Tangram Puzzle box is so very tactile and once held it has the most wonderful feel. This will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice. The condition is nice with no actual damage to the carving, this is breath taking , this is such a rare object. 6 cm width by 6 cm depth. BREATH TAKING EXTREMELY RARE EARLY VICTORIAN M J Rückert SOLID SILVER & GLASS INKWELL. This is a Fabulous Extremely Rare Early Victorian Solid Silver & Glass Inkwell -Inkstand with a Carved Cherub Seated , this Rare Inkstand has been crafted by the highly sought after German Silversmith Martin Joseph Rückert , it would have been crafted in Mainz Germany and date’s to circa 1840 making it at nearly 180 years old, the detailing is breath taking, you will not find another Inkstand on the Market like this and of such rare design and quality, as you can see the glass inkwell itself has the most beautiful wheel engraved glass body creating the most wonderful scrolls and foliage, it has a solid silver hinged lid which has a stunning cast decorated lid with a delicate finial to the top, even the collar to the neck has a beautiful design, this sits snugly within its raised solid silver gadroon decorated pedestal foot which is attacted to the solid silver base, next to the inkwell you will now see the most unusual fabulous solid silver curved bench with a stunning turned silver balustrade to each end and also one in the centre of the back rest, this has beautiful open pierced decoration of scrolls and foliage to the back rest of this amazing bench, sitting upon the solid silver bench is the most breath taking carved cherub figure, sitting with his leg crossed while leaning against the back of the bench resting on his elbow as he is engrossed in reading his book, the detailing to the beautiful carved winged cherub is stunning from his wonderful face to his curly mop of hair, his face is stunning as he consentrates on the reading of his book, this fabulous carved cherub has been crafted especially for this inkstand and he sits securely and is attached to the bench with a silver thread screw, all this sits upon a kidney shape solid silver base which has wonderful scroll work to the centre and it is finished with an embossed egg and dart border which is so typical of the early victorian period. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb, this i believe would have once belonged to a wealthy Gentleman or lady and been used daily to write there letters, they would have written letters using a quill pen , dipping it into this rare inkwell, this was in a time when letter writing was very important and sent daily, if this rare inkwell could talk i bet it would have some fascinating stories to tell, this is so very tactile and once held it has the most wonderful feel. This will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice. Please study the photos as this is an extremely rare Inkstand, it is hallmarked to the base, its in beautiful condition, it may have once had tiny screw in feet but that being said it doesnt detract at all from its rare beauty, just mentioned for accuracy, its so extremely rare you will not see or find another like this on the market. Ultra rare early 1930’s Kamaka Ukulele w/original canvas carrying bag. Gold label on interior. Same Kamaka Ukulele is on display at Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in Sydney, Australia. Famous Pineapple between bridge and soundhole. Rare Bergstrom’s Music, Honolulu label. Built by Kamaka for Bergstrom’s Music store in Honolulu. Was put away in house without any use in recent history. There is one string that should be replaced as someone from the original owners party looks to have at some point replaced with the incorrect string. Beautiful and very to rare to find antique Meissen coffee or teapot dating to 1740. Wonderful piece with hand painted port scenes all around body and cover. Trimmed in pretty yellow gold. Fancy modelled spout and handle. Measures 8.5 inches high x 7 inches wide from spout to handle. First quality blue crossed swords mark on bottom. Only see minor use and wear loss on the pot and lid flower petals have chips & missing green stem. Incredible to find a Meissen Coffee or teapot pot from early 18th century and then in this great condition is just unbelievable. It’s almost 300 years old. OFFERED HERE IS A PAIR OF EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY EARLY ELECTRIC CUT GLASS CANDELABRA FROM THE FAMOUS F & C OSLER GLASSWORKS IN BIRMINGHAM. THE COMPANY WAS FOUNDED IN 1807 AND CARRIED ON UNTIL 1922, ALTHOUGH POSSIBLY UNMARKED (THERE MAY BE STAMPS ON INDIVIDUAL BRASS ELEMENTS) I GUARANTEE THEY ARE OSLER PIECES AND DATE FROM THE LATE NINETEENTH CENTURY. DESCRIPTION ; 30 INCHES TALL , 15 INCHES WIDE AND EXTREMELY HEAVY , ALL THE CUT SHADES ARE ORIGINAL , THERE ARE 2 SLIGHT DIFFERENCES , THE GLASS FEET HAVE DIFFERENT BUT SIMILAR PATTERNS , SEE IMAGE 5 AND 9. IMAGES 3,4,5,6 & 7 SHOW LAMP ONE WHICH IS TOTALLY ORIGINAL AND UNDAMAGED WITH THE BONE FINIAL TO THE ON/OFF SWITCH. 17th / 18th Century Chinese Necklace w/ Tourmaline & Solid Gold Beads. This superb Chinese necklace is decorated with three long solid gold beads and several tourmaline beads in various colors separated by bronze beads. It dates from the 17th or 18th century and measures approximately 24 inches end to end. The gold beads vary in size with the largest measuring 2 inches long and 1/2 of an inch at it’s widest point. The tourmaline beads average 1/2 an in to 5/8 of an inch long. It is in excellent condition with the exception of some greening on the bronze and a hole in one of the gold beads. We are unsure if the gold connectors to close it are later or not but if they are later they are still of Chinese origin. WE USE DAYLIGHT BULBS WHEN PHOTOGRAPHING. COLOR IS ACCURATE ON OUR MONITOR.
