Not new with crazing but otherwise in good vintage condition as seen clearly in the 24 pictures/sizes are seen in photos. Crazing is the effect on pottery which causes it to have a web of tiny cracks over its surface. These are not cracks in the actual structure of the pottery but actually an effect on the glazed part of the pottery. A lovely silver caddy spoon by Richard Morton Sheffield 1786. This would be one of the earliest silver caddy spoons to be made particularly from a Sheffield silversmith. The spoon is in good order with a fluted shell shaped bowl and plain handle thumb piece. The spoon appears to have made by die stamping or pressing. There thumb piece handle has been lightly monograms with initials in scrolling script. A rare example illustrating the tooling development for caddy spoons in Sheffield with excellent hallmarks in. Size: 8.3 cms approx. Weight: 9 Grams approx. It will be sent within 2 days after receipt of cleared funds. We are proud to be members of LAPADA and CINOA we are governed by their trading rules.
