Early Antique Grodnertal Miniature Tuck Comb Peg Doll 3 Rare c. Superb charming little doll from our own personal collection. Rare Tuc Comb design in her hair and lovely all original painted face. A very early doll much sought after. Please note that at some time in its history some adhesive has been applied to the back of her dress to enable her to be seated. Fortunately it does not appear to have affected the doll much. Please see photos that show this including a photo showing the doll seated on a chair. Chair not included in the sale. Age related wear to clothes. The doll has obviously been seated in the same position for many years as it appears the wooden joints may now be frozen but as she is so small and delicate we have never tried to move the joints for fear of damaging them. For us she has always been displayed as she is seated. A very rare and much sought after early antique doll. Rare, beautiful, early Indian silvered bronze Bale Krishna, 14 century Vijaya nagar period. Here is a small, but exquisite, silvered bronze, Bale Krishna. This bronze is a fine example of the direct connection and influence between the Chola Dynasty, mostly in south India, and the later, more central Indian, Vijayanagar Empire. The amount of detail, movement and expression packed into a rather small bronze, is quite amazing. There are very limited examples of silvered or gilded bronzes from India of this period. The Krishna is in a perfect condition. No dents or losses to the bronze. There are two minor casting errors to the lower part of the base. Weight 186 gr = 0 lb 6.6 oz. 4 cm = 1.6 inch.
