Produced by Frommann & Morian in conjunction withHagemann in Dusseldorf, Germany in the 1940s or possibly the army 1950s. This beautifully illustrated lithograph shows the the gorilla, it is one of the earliest versions of this chart. Width (including poles):95cm. (without poles 85cm x 105cm). Printed on paper, it is backed with canvas and has black wooden poles top and bottom. This chart has spent most of its life rolled up in a school cupboard so the colours are still bright. There is some wear that comes with age. This chart is in good condition there are some creases and signs of wear but that is to be expected in a chart that is over 70 years old. For sale is a spectacular late 19th century to early 20th century American tramp art miniature two over three chest of drawers with a mirrored back splash. This piece comes to us from a private estate. This piece is constructed of cigar boxes for the drawers. It has a two board backing which is all original to the piece. The construction is fine and is a wonderful example of early American tramp art work. When the drawers are pulled out you can see various stenciled markings from the different brands of cigar boxes used to construct this piece. Ce in over all good condition. We do notice some areas of loss and wear which is all age appropriate. The surface patina is all original. There’s find oxidation to the wood and the piece is in over all sturdy condition.
