Rare Early Eames Herman Miller Folding DTM 20 Square Dining Table Museum Quality

Listed for sale is a rare and early 1955 Eames DTM20 by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. The table is novel in that it folds flat. It has a white top and looks really superb. It is a fabulous example and ready to use! This table is fully labelled, includes all of its original straps, and is stamped DTM20 into the wood construction. The Eames DCM featured is not included. Table dimensions are 34 w x 34 d x 28.5 h. Very little if any noticeable wear. Metal parts are all original and table is stamped DTM20. Antique McFarlane Calculating Cylinder Rare Early Calculator 1830 Museum Piece

On offer here is a very rare early calculator dating from about 1830/1835 used of accounting or financial calculations. One of the earliest calculators. Made by McFarlane of Glasgow, it comprises printed paper on wooden rolls held together by screwed on mahogany end plates. It looks in good condition for its age although there is an overall age related. Discolouration on the printed paper but still quite readable. No rips or tears. Please study my pictures as they form part of my description. We post daily, but we sometimes are unable to post on a Saturday. We always attempt to describe our items accurately and honestly. Crossbanded with herringbone inlay banding. Very fine original oak linings and locks. Handles look similar age. We are advised this is approx 300 years old and it is. 18th Century Queen Anne or Around that age. This has just come out of storageand is untouched so will clean up nice. Some handles are a little loose. One of the brass swan neck pulls has gone missing. But we may locate it. There is a little secret drawer above the kneehole that pulls out. PAIR RARE LATE 18th-EARLY 19th C. PIETRA DURA HARD STONE / MARBLE CANDLE HOLDERS

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a very unusual pair of antique English Pietra Dura hard stone inlaid on marble candle holders. These unusual candle holders are made of black marble and feature the front panel with Pietra Dura hard stone decoration with beautiful coloration in the stones. Measure 10″ tall with the candle opening being 1″ in diameter and a base diameter of 4 square. Weight is 6.0 pounds. These gorgeous candlesticks have some minor nicks in the marble as expected with functional items of this age. The flaws are minor no-harm nicks around the bottom edge on corners and one candlestick has a small chip on the upper rim (see photos). The Pietra Dura inserts are in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. No other noted flaws. Felt cover on bases as found. This is certainly a UK piece made in Ashford Derbyshire during the 18/19th centuries. Similar pieces/styles in Chatsworth House, Derbyshire and go under the name Ashford Marble. Give away is the limestone coral inlay which is shown on the side of the piece – Italians so never had this sort of coral limestone. In Derbyshire it is very common and was turned into all sorts of architectural/monastic columns/items. The product is quite rare. Easy to check – Ashford marble is a natural bitumen filled marble (mined locally in Ashford under water) which takes a high polish when cut and burns when heated. Flat Italian pieces used a different stone with no bitumen. We at Antiques & Moore have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible. SUPER RARE EARLY 1900s JAPANESE 950 STERLING SILVER SMOKERS SET IN ORIGINAL CASE. 4 piece set consisting of Ashtray, Matchbox Holder, Cigarette Case & Kiri wood tray. The set is hallmarked but the hallmarks are extremely small & nearly impossible to decipher (see last photo). The total combined weight of the set is over 800 grams, but that includes the wooden tray. The tray has twin handles with the rim lined with silver. Appears that the set was originally given as a present as on the side of the cigarette case the words. The back lining of the case has pulled away (see photo) but would be very easily fixed. _gsrx_vers_603 GS 6.9 (603).
