RARE BEAUTIFUL McCOY VINTAGE 1915 AMERICAN POTTERY ROLLING PIN YELLOW WARE MINT

Here we have a beautiful vintage yellow ware rolling pin. Produced by the Brush-McCoy Pottery Company around 1915, body of the rolling pin measures 8″ in length and the overall length from handle to handle is 17 ½”. At over 100 years old, this rolling pin survives in in excellent condition with only minor glaze wear on the edges that doesn’t detract. The wooden handles, likewise, are in original condition with no splits or cracks in the wood. Additional photographs and information about rolling pins can be found in Lisa McAllister’s Collector’s Guide to Yellow Ware in Book I on page 62. Considering that most households would have owned a rolling pin, few have survived to this day especially in this fine collectable condition. VERY RARE ANTIQUE EARLY 1800s MATCHED PAIR OF LIONS FOLK ART YELLOW WARE

Here we have an extremely rare pair of lions not shown in any of the books on yellow ware. This pair of recumbent lions on oval bases with a ridged band around the base are nicely molded and have a folk art appeal. This is a unique form produced by only a single potter. Measuring 6 ½” in length by 4 ¼” in height the lions are thickly potted on hollow bases. The lions are in excellent condition with only minor flakes on the base that don’t detract or take away from these magnificent animals. RARE ANTIQUE EARLY 1800s BASKET WEAVE TEAPOT WEDGWOOD YELLOW WARE MINT

Dating to the early 1800s, this is one of the most spectacular and elegant small teapots you will ever find. This is the only teapot with a rim that sweeps up towards the spout and handle. The teapot is thin walled and was designed and molded by a master potter and has a finely detailed molded basket weave pattern extending around the body and lid. The lid has a small oval handle and a hole to vent steam and aid in pouring. Measuring 4 ¼ to the top of the finial by 7 ½ wide from the spout to handle, the teapot is in original mint condition with no damage or repairs. The teapot is not signed, but the design is similar to known Wedgwood teapots. This teapot does not appear in any of the books on yellow ware and looks even better in person than as shown in the photos. If you are a serious collector, this is one of the finest small teapots you could own. Rare Pats Pending 2 Step Anglepoise 1227. Perforated Shade. Early Fork. Yellow

RARE 2 STEP ANGLEPOISE 1227 BY HERBERT TERRY & SONS. First edition of the 1227 2 Step (PATS PENDING). Dates from the late 1930s. 3 part fork with lower earth. The lamp is a shed find. As such the chrome arms, springs etc, were badly rusted. The lamp was been taken apart and cleaned. Removing the rust, has revealed that much of the chrome on the arms and fork has been lost. What remains, is peeling/flaking. The chrome could easily be removed if you wished. The lower, centre arm has a small hole in it (probably caused by corrosion). The paintwork is pale yellow in colour. There are a couple of chips to the paint on the shade, which reveals blue underneath. The yellow paint is aged and cracked. The shade has some chips/scuffs. Rusting/tarnishing to springs, bolts, spacers, etc. Fully working, but not currently PAT tested (advisable to get old lamps checked). Rewired with black, vintage flex and fitted with a chrome bulb holder. Earthed at the earthing point on the fork. Please be aware that, this is a vintage item and not perfect. Item is in average vintage condition. Cup shows some wear crazing throughout most of the piece, a few minor stains, and light scratches. The saucer shows wear also (minor stains & scratches). Vintage Herbert Terry 1227 Anglepoise Lamp in Rare Yellow Colour. Early Version with Metal Fittings and Rolled Edge Shade and Original Lamp holder. The lamp has new wiring and is working. The shade is very good for age, some very minor dents and bits of paint missing. The base section does have damage and has been repaired with epoxy by the looks. Please see photos for the condition. A superb antique early Meissen 19 century porcelain plate. It decorated with rare hand painted harbor scene. There are two men in a row boat next to a small island where are standing a man and a woman. There are two barrels and a white package with straps marked with a hexagram, that symbolizes God reaching down to man and man reaching up to God, the union of Heaven and Earth. There are a few ships on the background with sails. On the island there is a castle partly falling down. The border is yellow with fish net decoration. The back is marked with Royal Porcelain Manufacture Meissen blue under glaze handpainted crossed swords mark c. It is 8 1/4 inches in diameter. The plate is in very good to excellent original condition with minimum gilt were on the edge. Antique Schoolhouse Quilt 82″ x 82″. This exceptional, rare, antique quilt is entirely hand pieced and quilted. It is “Barn Fresh” and has not been cleaned or repaired. I have uploaded many photos. Please view them all, as they show the condition. There is one hole at the top left that goes completely through the quilt. There are other wear spots that go through to the batting. There are also some light spots. The photos are taken on a queen size bed, so it would fit a queen or a full. This is truly a remarkable quilt, a dream for any collector.
