Very Rare Early Antique Long F Steiff Bear 17 l and 13.5 tall non jointed wooden wheels. Condition is good overall Used as shown with signs of wear from age- a true original! Paul cord but growler no longer works. Some small holes hear and there and some minior stitching here and there too over time but please look at all photos. Eyes look slightly diff in color? He has a very sweet face and mohair has thinned a bit throughout but still has life left in him yet! HERE WE HAVE A TRULY WONDERFUL AND RARE EARLY VICTORIAN COPPER BATEAU BATH FOR SALE. THIS IS AN EARLY VICTORIAN EXAMPLE AND COMES ON AN ORIGINAL SET OF WHEELS WHICH WOULD PROBABLY SUGGEST THAT IT WAS ORIGINALLY USED IN A HOSPITAL OR SOMEWHERE THAT REQUIRED IT TO BE MOVED ON OCCASION. THIS BATH WAS BOUGHT IN THE UNITED STATES BUT IS MORE THAN LIKELY TO HAVE ORIGINATED IN FRANCE IN OUR OPINION. THE BATH IS IN ORIGINAL ANTIQUE CONDITION WITH A “DOLPHIN” TAP TO THE REAR CORNER. THE BATH OOZES CHARM WITH AN AMAZING PATINA AND EARLY CONSTRUCTION METHODS SHOWING SUCH AS RIVETS ETC. THE TAP (AS YOU WILL SEE FROM THE PHOTOS) IS TRULY A THING OF BEAUTY AND THIS WOULD SUGGEST THAT THIS BATH IS UNDOUBTEDLY FROM A VERY HIGH LEVEL MANUFACTURERS AND WOULD HAVE BEEN A REAL ROLLS ROYCE PIECE IN ITS HEYDAY. WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CHECK IF THE BATH IS WATERTIGHT BUT APART FROM THE DAMAGE NEAR THE TOP OF THE BATH ALL THE SEAMS LOOK TO BE INTACT AND IN GOOD ORDER. FROM OUR RESEARCH WE WOULD SUGGEST THAT THIS BATH DATES FROM THE 1830s APPROXIMATELY. MEASURES :145cm long x 63cm wide at widest point x 32 cm wide at front x 85cm high at back x 78 cm high at front.
