Century Roman Grand Tour Rosso Antico marble bath with Lion head detailing. This bath is stunning, I have never seen one of this size before, they are usually around 40% smaller, this must weigh 30kgs / 66lbs approximately. It has the Lions head to the front, rings either side, the marble is thick and with a beautifully veined patina. The marble on this is very thick and as mentioned it has a glorious vein, it looks to have a crack running all the way around, I dont think its ever broken because there are no signs of repair, it over 170 years old so we can forgive it some patina marks, most collector like to see some ware and damage, it helps to prove the age.
