#009 Extremely Rare Early Gledhill Brook 13362 Fusee Time Recorder Wall Clock

I have for sale one of the very first Gledhill Brook oak cased clocking in machines ever made, and looking in my book containing the company serial numbers, this could even be a prototype for future models, as in January 1918 when general production started, the very first serial number was 13800, this machine has the serial number 13362. The solid oak case has been thoroughly stripped and cleaned, finished off with a thorough dark oak beeswax. All the locks and keys, including the lock for the In/Out bar work perfectly and securely. The Gledhill T-bar crank handle is also present. All the brassware has been dipped in horological cleaner, and now sparkles like new. The heavy solid brass Empire chain fusee movement is clean, has been checked, oiled, and is operating perfectly with an excellent swing from the pendulum. Timekeeping is of course excellent from a mechanism of this quality. The heavy cast iron printer has been cleaned, and the blue ribbon re-inked. This printer is a rare item due to it having not just the common hour/minute/day wheels, but also the date and month, not many of these types around. The printer stamps the information on the card as shown in the photos. This unit is in excellent condition, fully operational, and comes with all its keys. Included are 5 clocking in cards. I do have 2 seperate metal card holders (not advertised) if required for sale. Dimensions are 43″ high by 19″ wide by 11 deep. This has to be collection only due to its weight. RARE Early Victorian Bronze Gothic Arabic Numerals Windmill Time Flies Sundial

EXTREMELY RARE Original Victorian or Earlier Bronze-Brass Gothic Calligraphy Arabic Numerals Windmill “Time Flies” Sundial! Extremely rare to find these original Sundials with Arabic numerals specially with such beautiful Gothic calligraphy! Approximately 20.6 cm (8 1/16 inches) x 20.4 cm (8 inches), and the gnomon (shadow cast pointer) is elevated approximately 8.2 cm (3 4/16 inches) from the flat surface. The Sundial has some wear as anything that goes back 200 or so years as can be seen in the provided images. How-ever still in beautiful shape considering that most of these Sundials due to being out-doors and thus exposed to the elements have weathered away. Beautiful motives with a windmill at the center was it made for a windmill? Very possibly, and the windmill is surrounded with many little rising or setting Suns as well as what appears as tiny little birds, with the hand engraved motto Tyme Flies in gothic calligraphy! All the beautiful details from the Arabic numerals to the lining as well as the motives and motto were hand engraved! This piece was 100 percent hand crafted! Traditionally these beautiful Sundials served as center pieces for English gardens, a way for people to entertain the telling of time! And time definitely flies amongst good friends. I unfortunately do not know alot about Hebdomas Pocket Watches. I don’t know how to tell what year this is. I also don’t know what the mark inside case means as far as what type of metal case is. What I do know is I have never seen a 24 hour dial on a Hebdomas… I also know that this particular one runs for a full 8 days and keeps excellent time! The hands have wear but are very cool looking!
