RARE EARLY 19TH C AMERICAN ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE REDWARE BOWL, WithBANDED LEAF PATTERN

RARE EARLY 19TH CENTURY AME RI CAN FOLK ART, ANTIQUE, PENNSYLVANIA or NEW ENGLAND, PRIMITIVE, WHEEL -THROWN & HAND DECORATED REDWARE CERAMIC BOWL. Featuring DOUBLE BANDED PATTERN with. [Found in a Connecticut River Valley, western Massachusetts early home]. Early 19th century Pennsylvania & New England hand decorated redware ceramic plates, bowls, chargers & other decorative objects. 9 12″ Width x 3″ Height. Offered for your review and consideration is this absolutely fantastic and very clean, rare, early 19th century Pennsylvania or New England, wheel-thrown and hand decorated redware ceramic bowl, featuring a double banded interior basin with leaves, raised outer sill and a cleated, raised bottom. This very scarce work of early 19th century Ame ri can folk art is completely hand painted with butter and vermillion green colored slip glaze, with semi-transparent sepia brown thin line, complimenting the quick, gesturally painted thicker bands of butter colored glaze, punctuated with swaths of a repeating green leaf motif. The graphic iconography of the bowl’s interior basin is consistent with other similar redware plates and bowls of the same period and region. This particular bowl has extremely gestural, kinetically applied slip glaze, which was actively applied to the bowl’s interior. The exterior sidewalls are unglazed and show the raw, kiln-fired redware, featuring naturally aged clay patina. There are only a few very minor touches around the rim. No hairline cracks, repairs (old or new) or’in-painting. The bowl remains as it was taken from the Deerfield, Massachusetts early, post and beam home and sprawling estate. An incredibly well-preserved and rare early 19th century and early Ame ri can antique cultural artifact. Nearly as old as dirt and very rare, especially intact and nearly unblemished, as is this beautiful piece of early 19th century antique Ame ri can redware. For sale is this incredibly rare incunable leaf from a book printed in 1497! This particular piece outlines portraits of popes. Being an Incunable (from the Latin Infants Cradle) means that this was printed pre-1500, during the early days (or infancy) of the printing press. It makes this quite a rare piece! This piece is in good overall condition, on handmade paper, with evidence of aging (light staining, marks, spotting, small tears, etc). Please study the photos very carefully for a better indication of exact condition. They tell its condition better than I do! This is an incredible piece and is ready to be framed or displayed! Perfect for any collection! Dont pass it up! Be sure to check over the details and look at all of the photos so you will know exactly what youll get! ANTIQUE BLACK FOREST RARE LEAF MOTIF CUCKOO CLOCK FROM THE EARLY 1900’S. This clock is a stunning large clock with a rare leaf motif truly a must have for one’s collection. This is a American Black Forest cuckoo clock easily from the early 1900’s. This clock’s color can be best described as a very rich dark walnut brown with hints of cherry red that catches everyone’s eye. This black forest clock has amazing highly carved detail on a thick piece of wood that intricately describes it’s rare beautiful leaves and curving branches. This clock has it’s brass movement stamped(made in Germany)that ticks, tocks, cuckoo’s and gongs like it should. This is an American Cuckoo Clock that still has it’s original paper on the back door in excellent condition for it’s age. The cuckoo(blue bird) cuckoo’s the number of times the hour. The movement has been cleaned, oiled and serviced. The bellow tops have been recovered. This clock has bone hands. This is a working clock and in great condition for it’s age. This clock has it’s antique big flappy winged blue cuckoo bird that sits on it’s metal perch. The case has been cleaned and waxed. The measurement’s are as followed. The clock is 19 inches tall and 14 inches wide and 7 inches deep. From the very top to the bottom of the pendulum is 25 inches long. The clocks dial measure 5 inches in diameter. This clock comes with 2 antique weights and it’s hand carved pendulum with matching leaf motif on a wooden stick with a metal end. We pack with great care. A beautiful rare pair of early sterling silver berry serving spoons. They are hallmarked for London 1751 with the makers marks being those of Benjamin Cartwright (one set of marks a rubbed). They have been beautifully made having unusual leaf embossed bowls. They are in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, the have been engraved with initials on both the front and back.
