Possible Spanish Boudoir Doll Made in Spain! Very unusual doll with stunning hand painted facial features. Believe her to be a Norah Wellings Doll from the 1930s. She measures 18 tall. Felted wool flowers in her dark braided hair and on her lovely rose colored shawl with silk fringe. Silk stockings and black felt high heel shoes. Her legs bend at the hips and her knees. She does have some moth damage to the under sides of her arms (shown in photos) but this is not noticeable with her shawl on. Row after row of ruffled organza make up the train on her dress. 22 Inch rare closed mouth papier mache early “PAULINE” doll, made around 1840 in Germany for the french market. She is still all original dressed (sewing on the body) in her nice pink and white striped Dress of the period, with a rose at her waist, puffed sleeves (removable for a summer dress). Organdy underskirt, but no underwear, no shoes or socks. She still wears her deep brown human hair wig, but sparse and styled in a bun with bobby pins. Her head is in good condition, with original face paint – but partially redone and have a head repair right side in past. Her upper Body is in ages, nur Good condition, her legs fair and hsve spme patches, but sturdy. Otherwise I can not undress her about the sewed on dress.
