Rare Antique #4 Brass Petal Sleigh Bells J. S Joseph Shipman? Petals Early 19th
Posted by admin On July 13, 2024
Please review all pictures for overall condition and size, as this helps form the overall condition/description of the item. Wear is consistent with age and use. One has a few cracks, the other has one light crack, couple of small holes/chips from age. Both still have original iron clappers. Both measure 2.09 and both are marked JS and have a on each petal. Excellent design and a rare example of Joseph Shipman’s casting work. We believe these date to somewhere around the 1820s/1830s, hard to be exact. He died in 1859. We got these from a very old property in rural New Hampshire. Previous owner had them displayed on the wall on the wood/leather strap with a metal bar going through it. Please message us with any questions, we respond fast. Please allow up to 2/3 days for large items.
Rare White Four Large Mermaids Bowl Art Deco Depression Glass Joseph Inwald

Rare White Four Large Mermaids Bowl with Flower Frog. Art Deco Depression Glass Joseph Inwald Barolac. This is a rare large heavy thick White Frosted and Clear Mermaid bowl which has four Mermaids swimming around the bowl. This bowl is absolutely gorgeous in this co ndition with no chips or cracks. Each naked Mermaid with long hair is in a different swimming position. The rim of the bowl has waterlilies and lily pads which protrude a long way out of the bowl. The Mermaids are swimming through seaweed and the bowl sits on four feet. This Mermaid bowl was made in the Depression Era by Josef Inwald Barolac Factory in Bohemia, in what was Czechoslovakia but is now the Czech Republic. Some people get this bowl confused with. Lalique French Art Glass. Protrude out of the back of the bowl. There are no chips or cracks and this bowl is in very good condition for its age. This lovely Mermaid bowl is 12 & 3/8 inches or 31.5cm in diameter across the top of the bowl and it stands 5.5 inches or 14cm high. There are several air bubbles throughout the glass. This rare bowl has been in my collection for a long time, but now some one else can enjoy this lovely Mermaid bowl in their collection. Have a look at all the photos to see the lovely colour and condition. I have never used this bowl, it has only been on display in my collection. I know what it is like to get broken items and feel bitterly disappointed when they are not wrapped properly. I will double box this lovely. To protect it, and make sure you get it in the same beautiful condition it is in now.
RARE ANTIQUE VINTAGE Joseph hoffman MOSER CLEAR 10 FACETED BLOCK CUT VASE C1930
Posted by admin On April 2, 2023
RARE ANTIQUE VINTAGE Joseph hoffman MOSER SMOKE GREY OCTAGONAL PANEL FACETED CUT VASE C1930. This listing is for a very beautiful, increasingly rare to find, CLEAR CRYSTAL (rarer to find than the Smoke glass colour it seems) antique Moser Hoffman Karlovy Vary, crystal Art Deco vase, in what looks like unused condition, bar for display purposes. There is no inside staining or hard water in all the crevices of the steps of the block cutting. The almost antique vase has a typical design that is unmistakable for the famous Moser brand. The vase is made of solid, thick-walled clear glass of high quality. The surface is divided into five blocks, which are decorated with facets. The year of production dates back to the 1930s, but the vase still looks like new. The design by the glass artist Josef Hoffmann and his vision were realized by the glassworks in Karlovy Vary. The glass is CLEAR CRYSTAL. This heavily thick cut, octagonal, faceted design allows for much light play from top to bottom. It’s a timeless design which mixes well with any decor-from classic formal, to Danish/MCM, to farmhouse. Perfect for a mantle, console or tabletop. Great to for the collector or to give as a gift. Made in Czechoslovakia circa 1920’s 1930’s. Josef Hoffmann for Moser Octagon Panel Cut Crystal Vase. Measurements: 7 3/4″ tall x 4 5/8″ diameter top x 2 3/4 diameter base. Condition: Excellent, vintage condition with minor wear. Two fleabite 2mm chips on the top corners, and one 2mm fleabite chip to the base corner. N0 cracks, or repairs commensurate with age. Some scuffs on bottom and very top surfaces from use. With tiny scratches above last cut panel-see last photo. If you require more information, please do not hesitate to message me. I try to describe all the items as accurately and as honestly as possible, and I always include photos or scans of the actual items. Anything major such as cracks chips or major loss of gilding etc will be pointed out in the description and shown on the photos. If you are still unsure as to the condition etc. My items are usually vintage or antique, very rarely new, and condition will sometimes reflect this with minor marks, wear on gilding etc. I do my best to research the item and its history and pass that information on to my customers, you can google items and find the same information I do. Vintage or pre-owned items will often show some signs of wear due to their age, and there may be something I overlooked. Any condition outside normal vintage wear, like chips or cracks or serious defaults, will be noted. International buyers please note. Rare Georgian Early Silver Jockey Cap Caddy Spoon Hallmarked 1798 Joseph Taylor
Posted by admin On March 20, 2023
A fine George III early silver caddy spoon in the form of a jockey’s cap with bright cut engraved decoration denoting the stitching, a decorative star to the button on the top and foliate decoration framing a shield cartouche on the brim and further to the underside. It is finished with a shaped engraved “ribbon” at the back. Unusually with full hallmarks under the brim, a very early jockey cap caddy spoon, Birmingham 1798, maker Joseph Taylor. It measures 5cm (2″) long, 4cm (1 9/16″) wide and 1.7cm (5/8) high and weighs 7g. In good condition overall: there are two small splits to the ribbon section at the back. A neat and unobtrusive line of repair to a section of the join with the brim and also to a diagonal across the width of the brim, more clearly seen underneath. A few tiny nick marks to the shield cartouche suggest unsurprisingly an original engraving has been erased. No dents and the engraved detail is nice and crisp and the marks are clear.
